LIFELONE by tonic
Controls: Move with Arrow keys, 'Z' key for action.
This is a short game which tries to be some sort of "art game". To see all sides of it, you need to play it 2-3 times.
I think this theme wasn't the easiest one, but for me it was something which pushed to make something different than I usually do. Less gameplay, more thinking about what being alone can mean, and trying to put that into a few different stages of something. What if you want to be alone? Are you alone, or somebody else? Are you alone because there's nobody around, or because there are too much people? Are you alone because of feeling disconnected to people close to you?
So in my game there really isn't very much to do actually.. I don't want to spoil it all, but it does vary between each play if you do a bit different things.
The game has a 8 minute soundtrack, with start position synced to real clock, so it continues playing if you start game again right after exiting it.
There is also a video link. But remember that the play experience changes a bit if you play it better, and the video naturally doesn't spoil that for you, so the video really isn't a substitute for playing it yourself!
PS. LD #3 was my first one, but starting from 4th Ludum Dare I named all my entries like "Smthng Warrior"... but now I broke the pattern!!
*SPOILER warning*: If you don't want to figure it out, read this page: http://jet.ro/files/lifelone-SPOILERS.html

Dammit, I was young quite a few years ago. Now it's just transition to the old age, I guess.
A little more gameplay would be great. A very good entry, nevertheless, especially for those who enjoy art games. Great, simple graphics and nice music.
