My First LD, had a lot of fun and I'm really proud of the game I have made! I hope you like it too!
The tools used were:
Engine: Unity 3.4
Code: C# in Visual C# Express
3D graphics: Blender 2.6
2D graphics: Paint.NET / InkScape
Sound: AudaCity / WolframTones / Bfxr
Don't forget there is another game mode to play when you pass the first one! Be sure to check it out. And also remember to post in the comments what your high score is!
I also used the terrain toolkit library from Unity Technologies

Personally I would have gone with a larger terrain and made the oxygen deplete a lot more slowly, but then again I would have probably gone nuts and made it randomly generate the levels and added vehicles etc. and would have most likely missed the deadline :D (If you want to learn how to manipulate the terrain in code, check out the Landscaper class in my game's source http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-22/?action=preview&uid=7849 - It's largely undocumented, but it will show you how to both manipulate it and how to spawn objects onto it where you want)
I really love the idea of this game and am tempted to try and make something of this type myself.
Also, Unity is bad-ass; I love the fact that you can make a game like this in only 2 days.
I didn't even know there was a second level... o.o
i didn't think it was too hard. a few seconds of grace time (while holding your breath) after the time expires would have been nice though. the window was a bit small, which combined with the high mouse sensitivity, made it easy to get disoriented. other than that though i liked this. i was compelled to finish it even after dying twice with a full inventory just a step away from the ship.
I liked the music on the first part of the game but think it didn't feet the mood/ambience of it.
It seems we both made the same game :-) (well, it's funny how many similarities there are)
Solid gameplay and idea. Oxygen-mechanic is harsh and prohibits exploration, however. The Black frame also makes you feel shut in.
Lots of effort, fits the theme really well, good mood.
And don't listen to them, the difficulty is fine. One of the only 3D games so far I could play comfortably with a touchpad.
