Shadow by FinalMirage
Didn't get to the story so the general idea behind this was: You're having an out-of-body sort of experience (maybe a dream) where you're playing as your Shadow (on the left side of the screen) and you're trying to protect your Body (right side). Your Body has no control over his actions so you must follow him through the level and turn off traps that would kill your Body without your help.
There's also enemies/traps that you have to avoid at the same time while making sure you keep your Body alive so you can be together once again!
Created with XNA 4.0 so you'll need the Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0 to run it: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=20914

You can watch a playthrough here but it'll give away how to beat the game if you watch it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s84pb5aWg4

good idea
I think if the scenes were scrolling up rather than on separate screens it would help.
The controls are nice and responsive and the simple audio cues help a lot to get timings right. I think if you could arrange it so it needed a bit more thought and was slower-paced rather than this fixed speed and 'on rails' it would be awesome.
