The Last Shadow - created by Justin and Blake Mullin.

Stranded on a dark planet, you must gather enough energy from an abandoned building to escape.

Known bugs:

- Doesn't work with Java 7
- After pressing Escape to free the cursor from the applet, you are no longer able to draw power correctly from objects.
- Sometimes the first object you absorb will give you one Watt too few.

I can't get past the title screen...

(have apple's Java SE 6 Update 29, OSX 10.7.2, Firefox 8.0.1)

Tried pressing space, clicking on all the things on screen, waiting for all the text to come up.

I found the game to be too unforgiving. I could hardly move my mouse away from the object enough to actually see which direction it was turning in. I felt like I had no control, which for me ruined the game a bit.

Hmph...sorry to hear you can't play increpare! Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure why it's not letting you past the title screen...all you should need to do is click the Start button. If anyone else is having troubles getting into the actual game, if you could post your environment here that'd be great!

I didn't understand the game after clicking through the tutorial the first time, walked around the level some, confused, refreshed the game to see the tutorial again, and then everything made sense. Perhaps pacing the tutorial differently, or adding a first screen that's like "This is a game about draining energy from appliances into batteries" and being able reactive the tutorial through [?] ingame. I'm saying that because this was a pretty novel gameplay concept for me. :)

I, like SLiV, felt that the difficulty scaled pretty quickly and never managed to successfully steal a 5+ energy. Despite that, it's a creative game with a solid execution and nice mood thanks to the lighting.

Like the concept. But it was unplayable on trackpad. I can't deal with mouse sensitivity so low.

Absurdly, I couldn't move at all. Was able to click and absorb stuff on screen, but not move at all.

This was a pretty solid entry, but I have to agree with SLiV on the point about the game being pretty unforgiving. Sometimes the objects would get destroyed just as I noticed turning, giving me no time to react.

I like it, especially Audio and Mood, but the controls ruin it for me.
