Al One by mappum

IMPORTANT: When you play a game, everything will run perfectly and smoothly for the game host, but the clients will see some lag.

This was my first Ludum Dare entry, and I think I did OK (but I can do much better next time).

The game is a multiplayer mini-RTS, where you play as Al and use clones of yourself to fight. You believe you are the original Al (Al One), but so does your enemy.

Use WASD to move Al and click to create a clone. Clones attack each other when they get close, and they can attack you, too. You win when you kill the other Al.

I spent a good 24 hours pacing around looking for ideas, and got about 7 hours of sleep for the last 3 days. I can certainly say my brain is not functioning at max capacity right now.

@SeanAtr0n Yeah, my downfall was that I spent all my time on that instead of the gameplay :(

The premise is brilliant. "you are #1. The other guy thinks so aswell. Because I told him so. NOW FIGHT TO THE DEATH"

Renders really squashed for me, playing in web player and it uses only the top like 10% of the window.

Nice work with the multiplayer code, but you should have included some single player bots as well. I had to play against myself in two computers to run this :-/

Daring to do multi-player for a jam and I was shocked when it worked. Well done!
