Alone in the city by tamat
As always it has been imposible to finish the gameplay, there is no goal besides surviving, but at least you can walk around and enjoy the strange city full of hostile people and annoying dogs.
It was made using Flixel, graphics were created using Photoshop.
When voting take into account that this game was made by TWO people (me and my girlfriend), we didnt know it was a solo compo till the begining. It should had gone to the JAM instead of the 48hs (although it was made in 48hours).
Gameplay:
Walk around trying to find supplies, but be careful, if the loneliness bar gets full you die, some places will help you other will make you die... alone... in the city.
Thanks a lot to my girlfriend for helping me with the graphics and for supporting me the whole weekend. <3

Shame there was no sound, that would have really added to an otherwise excellent game
Don't get me wrong. The game's pretty good, and this is definitely a great entry. Although the gameplay feels kinda lacking, I really love the mood and your postmortem is really nice to read - I'd just prefer to rate it as a jam entry, where it belongs. Oh well, maybe next time.
When I said "preparing the whole month" I meant psycologically, not a single line of code was written nor graphic was created till the start (I took the 48hs seriously).
But yes, I had help on the graphics, which let me focus on the coding (although I was supervising the graphics all the time).
Thanks for your comments, next time I will try to make it just by myself.
It does seem like this should be a jam entry though - maybe it would be possible to have it be changed by an admin?
As for my thoughts about game - very good pixel art which alone sets nice mood (which would be really improved with just a simple audio background). Compo version is too unfinished gameplay-wise, but shows promise. (Tried post compo version too, it works a bit better, still a lot of place for improvement, wouldn't mind playing post-post compo version :)
