Forever Alone - The End of Colors by gebirgsbaerbel
This is my first entry into ludum dare. This time I decided to work with cocos2d as it is relatively simple and fast to have a first success. Unfortunately it my setup only works on Mac OS X - Lion. Next time I might try something more ambitous.
In my game you walk around searching for a companion. However he is avoiding you and you follow him deeper and deeper into the darkness.
To steer: use arrow keys or WASD
Spotlight: move the mouse to actually see something
I used:
Language: Objective-C
IDE: XCode
Library: Cocos2d (http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/)
Graphics: Gimp
Sound: Clavinova and iPhone for recording
MapEditor: Tiled (http://www.mapeditor.org/)
PS: The first five levels are shaped in the letters of ALONE
This is barely recognizable when wandering the labyrinths :)

As a side note, i *loved* the piano music and the slight "puffs, huffs" and ambient sounds that there were in the recording. It felts as if there was some sort of companion i was with while playing the game. Top marks on that :-)
Music is awsome!
