News Anchor Simulator by thephantom

[raw]
made by thephantom for LD35 (COMPO)
A very short not-much-of-a-game about living as news anchor.

Background: You live under a strict regime where your life is constantly in danger if you opposed it. or is it ??!!

Try to survive as long as you can...
or just Die .. you are doomed anyway :).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately .. I couldn't finish all Features i wanted in time. so a lot of stuff had to be cut out.

Also .. the flash version can contain some bug or be a little laggy. i found out about that late.
I will try to add more formats soon.

FYI : I have never heard the term "news anchor" before in my life. It was a Google search result ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I like the passive storytelling in such a short and simple game. I think by developing the core mechanic into something more interesting you could make it much better though.

Heya!

Pretty cool idea but I wish it used the theme more. Some "serious" newsroom background music would have helped as well!

this is an interesting game, it would be cool to see it elaborated on further, with maybe more of a story.

Nice idea - a little bit annoying with the very dark text that was hard to make out while it being typed out slowly.

I didn't realise you could skip the text typing, it really slows the game down which is really difficult since the revolution media increases faster with each day.

Plays well, I liked the concept. From a design perspective I feel like the bar should only fill up when the game is waiting on player input, having to wait for some period of time while the responses are typed induces the wrong type of player stress in my opinion.
