NOTE- I didn't fully get to finish the game I'm afraid, after a certain point the game will loop back to the beginning. Please don't keep playing it to see if something's different! (er, well you can keep playing if you like but.. yeah it'll be the same :P)

thanks, and sorry it's not more finished! I bit off more than I could chew

PS- audio credit for the birdsong is to 'reinsamba' on freesound.org

I liked it! The lo-fi graphics, the stone-throwing, the lovely music. Would love to see this worked on further.

What an immersion, cool way to cope with the theme. Make more of this!

Delightfully surreal, yeah.

Kind of strange you only need to throw a stone once in the game. Was expecting that to be the core mechanic.

Tell me about it! There's actually a ton of code for different puzzle plates which I wrote and never had time to implement :( also there was two more areas and another music track which got thrown out... I really misjudged what I could finish! I might upload the music track for anyone curious

Good mood and visual / audio atmosphere, too bad you hadn't time to implement some other gameplay than slowly walking and jumping...

BTW isn't using premade assets (song from freesound) against the compo rules?

is it? I did a search for 'ludum dare freesound.org' and you get a lot of posts of people declaring freesound.org as a sound resource, I figured it'd be ok. I don't have any way to record birds and I needed some birds tweeting.

I removed the bird sound just in case.

Nice music and good graphics, but it's more of an engine test and not a game...
The music is not by you, so in 48 hours you could have done something more game like.

the music is by me. I had some birds tweeting in the background from freesound, which I've removed

It's a shame you didn't get to finish as this seems pretty interesting. The atmosphere kind of worked, but kind of didn't - I think I could have done with a little more context or backstory to draw me in (the lack of which is understandable given the time constraints).

It's not that bad, actually. It's just unfinished - in fact, I think that graphics and musics are pretty good, especially those pixellated textures. There's little gameplay, but this doesn't bother me that much. Either way, it's an interesting experience.

Wow, at first it was like "North by Northwest" plane scene (though, there is no planes), and then it was like Indiana Jones movies.
I Liked it a lot.
