Phew... glad I've got that behind me. This is the first game I've ever finished, so I hope you like it :D

EDIT: It does have an ending, you just have to get down through about 7 levels first. meow.

Having to press the arrow keys repeatedly to move kinda breaks the flow.

weird clicky sounds when I press arrows, sounds not right?
I loved the little doom esque facial change based upon health. You get bloodier as you get hurt :D
allow you to hold down arrow keys to keep moving :)

I was contemplating the hold down thing. At one point I did include it, but it broke the flow of the animation. I was going for a turn-based style, but in hindsight I probably should have just fixed the animation. Glad you liked the health meter!

Also, the clicky sounds are supposed to be footsteps. I kind of messed up those though, as I had to edit them last minute in order to make the guy go faster without weird sound overlaps.

The sound was very nice. I couldn't really find a challenge but still it was entertaining until the end.

Congrats on your first game, Homletmoo :)

I admire your ambition to attempt a turn based game (although it didn't quite work with your gameplay). Usually I associate turn based with a lot more strategic elements--the gameplay emphasizes on taking the time to think--so perhaps just some more interesting features would have gone a long way. Atm though, maybe I just don't understand it?

I definitely like what you've done so far, and I think this is super promising and hope you'll continue building on it. :D

P.S. the gems might kind of look like poo...

I did intend for the traps to be more intricate, but time got the better of me... Nonetheless, I'm pleased with what I've done (and that I got it finished).
Also, your perception of poo scares me O_o

I hate that I have to click repeatedly the cursor key to move. Also the game got stuck sometimes when changing levels.

Made it to the end but clicked an arrow key to claim my prize and it restarted the game. Other than that final disappointment, great job!

Congrats on finishing! The first time this game loaded... the screen was nearly 100 percent black. I could still see some basic outlines of the white text. I refreshed and it fixed it. Odd.
