About:

This is my first Ludum Dare (#21) entry, so be nice =)
I spent about 16 hours on the first day and 5 on the second.
Everything is written in Java, all from scratch.

How to Play:

Press spacebar to respawn and go through the story.
Press m to unmute/mute the awesome music. Music is muted at start.

Use the WASD keys to move the upper ship
Use the Arrow keys to move the lower ship

The ships may not touch black.
If the ships are not on the same color, your lifebar will drain rapidly.
Bright green signifies savepoints, white is the end of the level.

There are three levels, each one grows rapidly more difficult.
If anyone can complete all three without dying once they shall be proclaimed our hero.

Enjoy =)

Hi, I really like the game, awesome idea, this asymetric gameplay is really hard, i've played alone, but it must be alot of fun with two people
I've only made it to the third level,
Also, the little introduction (especially the comment at the bottom) made me laugh so hard :D

The big flaw for me, wich is that important, is the art side, it's really basic, but great game :)

this was a very good game. i have never seen a game like this before. i made an account just to comment on this game. very nice. and i thought the music was funny.

(p.s. i completed the whole game by myself and ended up with a score of like -5720 or something XD)

Great idea, very creative!

The music was nice, but you should have cleaned it up (no coughing allowed!).

Congrats on your first time!

OK, the music made me laugh, and the two-ship gameplay was pretty neat. Of course, the music kept playing once I closed the tab, so as I write this, I'm hearing doom da doom da doom da doom.

Cool idea! I like the tandem keyboard gameplay, though it's really tough to play alone. Also, please cut the coughing out of your music next time ;)

It's hard, but once you get the hang of it controlling the two ships at once is very enjoyable.

The screenshot looks really intruiging, I am having a lot of trouble getting it to run in the browser though (Chrome on mac). I will try to run it later on the command line...

One of the more original ideas, it's harder than it looks, which is always a good thing.

Wow the music continued after closing the window. Which isn't that bad cause I like the mouth made music, even with coughing.
The starting screens art is... you know. But in the game it's okay. I really like the unusual concept of the hame mechanics.

Very creative, but extra hard to play alone. Takes a while to get used to, and the map is rather unforgiving. "Music" made me lol.

A long time ago I built a game where you were controlling two separate things with WSAD and the arrow keys, so I love the concept.

But, damn is this hard.

I love the concept! It is great to do two things at the same time - I am pretty sure it's good for my brain. Good stuff. Thanks :)

What a cool concept! A pretty fun game if you have two people!

This would make a great co-op game.

Really great game! Interesting concept. Controls are straightforward. My brain isn't used to think in two layers like that. Only possible recommendation might be to make it a top-down scroller instead of side scroller, because then the controls would map more readily to what's going on.

Nice job!

on the web version, the music didn't work. :/ AWESOME concept though! I just loved the idea and could tell how easy it was to create levels. I want to imporve the game myself! (Can I?) 9/10

Makes me think of "The World Ends with You." Very nice!

Really nice concept and gameplay - infuriating, though! :)
Whilst I congratulate you at having a go at making some music, I congratulate you even more for letting us mute it! ;) Strangely, Java (and the music) kept running even after I'd closed the tab...

Awesome. From the idea to the jokes, this is what I want to see in a LD compo! Loved it. Very good job!

Innovative, but hard in a way that's really depending on the player's brain, something to do with left hand/right hand coordination. I, for one, suck at this game horribly, which of course doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.
Music is funny at first, but giving the player ability to mute it was a very good choice. :)

Great idea, but steep learning curve and very unforgiving! I'd have given the player a little more leeway to make it easier to cross onto new colour zones. Music made me smile :)

I thought it was a 2P game and tried it with my wife. It was really fun this way, I tried it alone after and it was not that fun. Trying to coordinate our move by talking was difficult but amusing
