GeoShifter by MrMordem
Many issues once again so it's gonna be a tech demo showing a concept, yet we still want to relase it so we can get feedback on some aspects and because we still want to release at least something for the time we spent on it.
Story and Concept :
In GeoShifter, you are supposed to be a galactic treasure hunter that goes inside a strange temple and hopefully get some loot. Unfortunately you mainly encounter geomatrically shaped ennemies, your default gun is very weak against them however you can use potions to get a Shape matching shot that deals more damage to similarly shaped ennemies. When you defeat the ennemies in an area and have destroyed their spawners a boss will appear, you must defeat it to unlock the exit door.
Gameplay in this Build :
Use the arrow keys to move left and right, the up arrow allows you to jump, you can "shoot" your weapon with the left click and aim with your mouse
The game has no sound since we had many issues to fix prior to even try and implement it so there you go.
Test it out, and please still give us any feedback about this entry, you might get a little laugh out of it :p even though it is kinda lacking.
Comments clarification :
We are Using MrMordem's account as a Team account, so it's not always him responding

I quite like the art.
Regarding the gameplay, I think the jump behaviour is too "floating", gravity should be more significant.
Also, shoot was buggy, bullets didn't always fired in the right direction.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
So to answer most of the confusion about the level in this build :
It's not possible for the moment to complete it, reason being that with all the trouble we had with our source control during the LD we ended up with most of the planned features for out games missing due to a lack of time :/
so it's more once again like a sort of proof of concept as we stated in the entry's description.
regarding the floaty controls, that's mostly because we needed to use the physics feature of GMS wich we never tested before and so had also trouble with.
I'll try and get the team together to get the game on your site although this is more a tech demo than the game we wanted to acheive for this LD,
could you please explain where the #LDJAM should go ? Is it on the site or on this entry's description ?
Also, the gun didn't shoot the way the it's pointing, if the feature does not do anything, just remove it ;)
little jam tip:
You really need to work your way on the basics befores adding a lot of features
make the movement feel right, precise jumps, this kind of stuff
If you are going to submit an incomplete game, at least make sure your main features are working well
Then you can move to try the other features ;)
