Escape the Zombie Horde by Spoonweaver
It's an Oregon Trail-like game, made with the O.H.R.RPG.C.E.
I hope you enjoy it.

This fix was made before the end of the time limit.
Huge idea!
It would be useful to have some kind of counter or timer that showed how far you'd already driven or how far to the goal. I also found it very frustrating to play with one key. If I pressed the key each turn, it took ages to progress. If I held it down, then it would skip past all the dialogues before I could stop and read them. Maybe separate keys for this would be useful, or automatically drive through the stages where nothing happens.
I never did make it to the military base, but I played quite a few games and had a lot of fun with it. I think my party died in pretty much every way possible, so I'm holding my fingers that the zombies don't invade any time soon. I'll be the first victim for sure. Very well produced overall, congratulations :).
I'm glad you like it.
Other than that, I like the general idea, and somehow the atmosphere.
But, some things just don't get done when you only have 48hr.
Make next time.
Other than that I too think that it would be good to see, how much you've bought in the beginning, you've to calculate hard this way. Oh, and it would be great to have a log or something where the messages pop up, this way you miss a lot, because after a few days I kept my finger on the spacebar ...
It does need some control during the game to spice it up. Also, its incredible hard to judge the amounts to take if you don't find out how close you got on your last attempt. I never made it to the base sadly... :(
The idea sound good, but apparently it is not for me.
I second the issue of the space bar; you should maybe not let dialog be skipped if space is already being held. Then again, that stuff isn't so important to the game in the grand scheme and just skipping it all and looking at the stats was better toward the end. An option or multiple keys would have been best.
Overall, I found it to be fun and addictive. After about 30 minutes of fine-tuning, I made it to the base! :D There's no win screen though, you just don't go any further :*(. The lack of music and sound effects was also really disappointing.
I would have liked the choices to be more meaningful and perhaps a way of leveling out the randomization. It'd be nice if your choice boiled down to, "Gas or food/water" instead of, "Dumb choice or smart choice."
The game is often frustrating and addictive but in a not-so-rewarding way. Then again, so was The Oregon Trail! :)
