Shape Thief by frogcheese
Something strange has come to Ludum City. During the traditional biannual Rampaging of the Machines, a lone "blob" of some sort has been spotted jumping around platforms with reckless abandon. Speaking of wrecks, it's decided to interfere with the festival, taking the shape of robots it encounters and turning them to scrap.

Some of the things I noticed:
you can't drop through the bottom platform,
its easy to get Spawn killed by the blue guys(they stay where they are when you die)(maybe add a longer invincibility after death or have a fixed respawn point where there are no enemies, like in the middle of the air).
there is something strange with how the animation changes on the main form, like you cant jump and shoot and hardly move and jump.
would be cool if there where other monster types, like something small and fast, or a flying monster, might complement the other slower types.
I like how the game play flow "shifts" while you clone different enemies(also how you get extra life from the forms and the countdown). And nice graphics :)
Good animations too, the controls are the only thing that didnt go really good for me but I could play anyway ^^
The jump speed and inertia and momentum in the movement I find adds a lot of difficulty especially when running into the enemy means dying, but makes the player feel less in-control. It might help to add a flat velocity to the accelerated velocity, and cap the total velocity at a certain number and it should make the feel more mario-like.
