Lich by Serilyn
Be sure to read the instructions below. There are no instructions in game.
This game is mostly a tech demo since it was too complicated to finish on time. This game requires Pixel shader model 2. You create skeletons using the bones of your enemies and use them to help you fight more enemies. The game was originally going to have the player collect pieces to become a lich but that is not implemented. The bones were also supposed to influence the skeleton's stats but that's also unimplemented.
Be sure to follow the brown dirt paths since I didn't have time to code proper barriers and the enemies are only on the paths. There is currently no way to "win".
Instructions:
The P key (P)ortals you between your sanctum and the outside
The I key Brings up your (I)nventory
Click the sarcophagus to bring up the skeleton maker. Click each bone and place it in the correctly labelled slot in the sarcophagus. There are tooltips to tell you what they are. Click "Create" to make your skeleton.
To destroy a skeleton select him then click the sarcophagus.
Click enemies to attack and click dead enemies to loot them. Click each item then click an inventory slot to move it there.
Right click items in your inventory to destroy them.
ESC quits.
All assets and game code were created from scratch by me. The only reason this game is Jam is because I ran out of time for the compo.
I used C++ with Ogre, CEGUI, OIS, and my Framework with helper classes.
Content was created using Blender, Photoshop, and PixPlant for the terrain textures. Images for the terrain textures were taken during a walk on Saturday.

This was really tedious. I like the idea, and yet, clicking on each body part and then on the slot you want it to go to was just boring. I spent a long while walking around without finding anything, too. Sorry man :(

Fantastic graphics. I really like the shadows, textures, and models.

Interesting concept, but the interface could probably be improved.
