Rainbow Hero by mwest
A fairly simple arcade puzzler, where you have to possess zombies and then use their abilities as weapons.
Linux and Windows have been tested to work with Java Web Start (JRE 6 required).
Just a clarification of the controls:
ARROWS: Move
SPACE: Fire ability (most abilities take some time to work
so you need to hold it down)

Hopefully I can sort out my the PHP file upload size limit on my hosting account soon so that I can do away with using Google docs completely...
@Danik - you use the SPACE BAR, but you have to hold it in for a second or two... maybe I should document that better or give better cues (audio as well instead of just visual).
Oh and I first downloaded the linux package but I couldn't run the .jar, so I used the web start thing which worked very well.
I didn't get all the way through. When I got to the hoards of zombies, I knew what I had to do, but I just made a basic mistake and ended up dying. So I'm not a fan of the life system (as an LD game, it probably works well if you weren't trying to play 20 of these in an evening).
Well done for getting a complete game out, with artwork that's not 'fake pixel' or 'retro vector'. (Even if it it's never going to win any awards, I appreciate it).
@TheLastBanana - I guess I don't really have rights to that image beyond perhaps fair-use in parodying the joke theme... To be fair, I should've done my own rendering of Double Rainbow Zombie so sorry, my mistake.
The sound effects were a bit jarring.
