My first commit to the grand ludum dare!\r\n\r\nIt's a light platformer, made with python and pygame primarely. \r\nPhysics are done with my own physics module.\r\nThe basic idea is, that I wanted to see how much I could punish my processor with python and pygame, and boy did I succeed :P\r\nAnyway you are the robot Monty, who is stranded on a Island. \r\nYour goal is gather ingredients for the best breakfast in the world. No more, no less :)\r\nAnd of course you have to leave some Monty Python references when writing in python. A cookie to all who gets them :)\r\n\r\nControls are:\r\n      a - to move right\r\n      d - to move left\r\n      space - to jump\r\n\r\nThe Linux binary is made on a 64-bit architecture, Windows executable will be up monday.\r\n\r\nLooking forward to your judgement :)\r\n\r\nPrograms used:\r\n        The GIMP\r\n\r\nLibraries used:\r\n        Cython\r\n        Cxfreeze\r\n        Pygame\r\n        Py2exe\r\n\r\nEdit:\r\nHURAAA! Windows .exe is up!! It has a problem with running on wine but it should run on a windows pc. I must say that Py2exe isn't the most reliable software i.e. some of the level scripts have been messed up a bit. Especially platform positions. Guess I'm gonna go for C++ next time :)\r\nHope you can get it to work\r\n\r\nKnown issues:\r\nJumping - not as much an issue as an word of caution; the jump function can sometimes be a bit insensitive. So don't be afraid to spam the jump button :) Same goes for the move buttons.<\/p>","title":"10 Things to do when stranded on a Island"}
