made by TangoOscarMike for LD36 (JAM)
Traverse the sea as a viking while battling monsters from the deep!

A first time team entry by myself and my sister, who handled the art.

Great idea of using Vikings :) I haven't seen Vikings on LD36, so it's original :) I like a gameplay and the graphic is neat :)

The art style and game idea is really fun. I was really bad at hitting the monster, but it is not your mistake, the aiming system is super great. I hope you will make a version of the game with some fun music and sound effects. But overall well done.

Not bad -- a cute little game. I like that the spears actually stick into the monster, and I like how you made the ocean have nice waves even with minimalistic water. However, it was difficult to figure out that I was one of the people on the boat (I kept clicking the spear bucket at first, hoping one of the men would take one) and the slow sailing between battles was a little boring. Still, nice job :)

@Findor Thanks!

@JK500 Yeah, we're definitely going to do a bit more work on the game with music and sound effects! Thanks!

@acotis Thanks. Good points, We definitely need to make it a bit clearer with what you need to do, we'll also work on making the transition between levels more interesting.

Cool little game, nice art most of all, but gets bit repetitive after some time

Nice game. I like how you came up with the mechanic, simple but funny. Art is pretty neat too. I missed some sound though.

Really good job :D

I really like the graphics, the monsters are awesome.

Sometimes it's a bit too easy to die though. (The monsters took all my hearts before I could even run back and forth 3 times)
