[Controls]
Leftclick on the catapult to charge, release to fire.
[Gameplay]
Feed the plants with the desired fruit, each time, you do this correctly, the plant value will increase, depending on the total amount of plants you own.
It's recommended that you wait for the plants to have a value of at least 50$, before you sell. That way, you can have more plants and gain more money.
[Mechanics]
0 plants - you lose. Be careful at the beginning of the game, since you won't be able to sell your last plant without ending the game.
1 plant - the plants gain 4$ worth per hit
2 plants - the plants gain 8$ worth per hit
3 plants - the plants gain 16$ worth per hit
4 plants - the plants gain 32$ worth per hit
5 plants - the plants gain 64$ worth per hit
Needless to say, the more plants, the better (even if a lot of them starve, most likely the rightmost)

So, here it goes. My warmup entry. My first step towards LD #27.
I sat two evenings on that, plus an extra hour to polish. Maybe a total of 10-12 hours. Can't really tell.
I totally plan to add sound to that, and I'll update the post once I finished that. I'm just not really experienced with sound in AS3. Yet. :P
Btw, to those checking my source. The .fla can be opened with Flash, the Classes-folder contains the scriptcode, and must be in the same folder as the .fla (unless you change the paths) the .as3proj is the project file for the FlashDevelop IDE. It's not needed to compile.
The .swf, .exe and web-version are the only things I was able to test.
Since I run windows, I'm not able to verify that the mac-version works. I just selected the export option in Flash. It's also a large file, since the player is embedded and all...
So that's all. Have fun!
EDIT: Update! Now with sound! Also, the game can now be started with a mouseclick *yay* In case you wonder about my website's name - It's my character of a MMORPG :)
EDIT 2:
Fun fact: 3 randomized loops at 8 seconds each, 5 instruments... in total, that's a lot of permutations.
Please correct me, if I'm wrong (EDIT: I was wrong. It's not as many as I thought (1023) EDIT: I was actually right :P)... but
4^5 = 1024 (-1 no plants won't count) possible sound combinations, right?
I believe it's about 2 hours, 16 minutes and 24 seconds of possible different sounds. Once you heard them all, drop me a message =)
