Dai Kabe
--------

A trivia game where you need to choose the right shape to pass through the great wall.

Keys:

1 - Circle
2 - Triangle
3 - Square
4 - X

Due to the lack of time I initially thought I won't be able to participate this time. After learning what the theme was I immediately got an idea for the game and I decided to go for it with the little time I had, which is around 8 hours.

Hoping I'll have enough time tomorrow, I plan to:

- Add music
- Add Q/A from json mechanism so users will be able to make their own questions

The game was made with PureScript and Emacs.

Edit:

Another few hours of work and we got the extra features I wanted. scroll down the page to learn how to make your own questions!

I guess for eight hours total it's not too bad. I got the keys wrong like every time. A constant on-screen overlay with the shapes in the right order would've helped. Also at least an animation or a little sound effect for shifting shapes would've been cool.

Hmm, I like the fact that u combined maths with shape shifting, well it takes time to grasp on the controls. overall not really up to the mark but.. But Hey! it can still be a great game :) All the best!

It was really hard to play. But that was fine for 8 hours. I liked the music but I got a little confused during the gameplay.

I really liked this one! I like how the questions were math questions and the controls were numbers. You could screw up by thinking of the answer to the question when you should be thinking of what key to push. It makes the game kinda like that old "Brain Warp" toy where you had to push a number or color in time.

I'd bet there's actually a lot you can do with this idea if you work on it some more.

Well Done! My score: 225.0.

It's fine for 8 hours, but the controls makes the game be really hard. Some UI changes could improve it.

Great concept and simple yet fun implementation! Music was great! The thing i missed the most were randomized operations!

Keep up the good work!

This was fun. The first 4*2+3*4 or whatever it was threw me off and I almost missed it. Nice music and I really like the touch of being able to create your own levels! That's a nice quick feature.
