Boring Human Existence by chunkybrewster
Transform into animals to help you get to the portal!
Sorry for lack of gameplay (again!) I had a big excel spreadsheet full of the slaughter themes and ideas and shapeshift was one I had nothing for (was really hoping for upgrade or mutation). So the theme really threw me for a loop, spent the first day just writing down ideas. Then I was looking at progress shots and entries and saw everything I had written down was already being done in some form or another. Day 2 I was like alright I have to submit, original or not. While I am not pleased with the result, I am happier than if I had not submitted anything at all!
The good:
* Art was the thing I spent the least amount of time with, Aseprite is a pretty amazing tool. Was able to add stuff that didn't look too terrible quickly and make changes equally fast.
* Tiled2Unity is pretty great, too. I'm aching at the chance to use it again, really made making the level way easier (even though I only ended up with one, would have been very easy to add multiple).
The bad:
* Not settling on an idea faster.
* Doing multiple forms, should have really just focused on 1 shapeshift form.
* Really should have spent more time on gameplay, but I just had the worst case of writer's block for being creative this weekend.
Hope to redeem myself with the next Mini LD that comes up, this was my worst Jam performance, yet. :(

This game has potential, its a pity you didn't add a couple of levels more, it looks you did most of the hard work with your game mechanic and sprites etc.
Controls are a bit too lose especially in human form. Tighter response/stop and more precise jumping would be an improvement.
1. It wasn't so bad. Seen worst. You can look up at my submission. This should lift your spirits.
2. You managed to create something. it works. It doesn't have bugs.
3. If you come up with idea and you see that someone else is doing it you shoudln't feel discouraged. It's not your fault that somebody else has good ideas and the happen to be similar with yours.
Overall: If it were your first LD I would say great job. Since you asipre for something more I will be hoenst saying it's average. More luck in next edition.
Hope you do better next jam!
