You and your friends have been invited to a fancy party at the house of a strange old lady. But why would she invite you?

A Visual Novel/Interactive Fiction written in JavaScript.

My challenge was to write a visual novel that I could play online with a bonus if I could play it on my blackberry.

The code and story are original. The graphics are done by me for other projects. I am hoping to replace them over the week.

Nice small adventure - full background story and everything. I actually got little curious what is going on :)

First I missed that there was the sanitybar, yet not so sure to what it all affects, as I did not die anyway. Also missed some of the story first and then I WON somehow and something - maybe used correct item to that something while clicking :D

The victory came as a little surprise thus not so rewarding and ofcourse no final frame for it. Maybe proper story that WHAT you just won and "happily ever after" part for Dale and You ;)

I was inspired about the story part - not having any stories in my little games. Good addition altogether.

Thanks!

I'm not so good with endings. I'll be adding more story this weekend. :)

I take my words back about "happily ever after" part, since this was suppose to be horror all to way to the end. Unless, Dale turns into horrific Zombie and they live happily ever after - then its fine :P

To make this little more horror thematic, maybe you should have used some gray/brown or even black background to that webpage. White background is not very scary in this case.

Thanks for the advice!

In the bad ending the ghosts take over the kids.

Not bad. I think the two main characters could've used stronger individual voices, but the story came through. No problems with interaction in my browser; things worked as expected.

I skimmed the source a bit, and it looks like quite a lot of work to get even a short story put together in that framework.

Thanks! I spent most of my 48 hours writing code. :)

I couldn't figure out what to do but it was pretty neat nonetheless. I like the idea of an interactive fiction game where I'm sneaking around a creepy house during a party. Could use more of a risk of being caught though.
