:book: Story-Introduction :book:

Planet Konos is a peaceful place that is known throughout the galaxy for its thriving nature and its magical floating islands. These islands are held together by the magic of saplings and the power of ancient wells. The saplings spend most of their time in those wells and thereby create the flora that fuels the floating islands and holds them together.

Funo, a kind spirit and the protector of Konos, cares for the magic saplings. Normally, this just includes things like changing their diapers. But one day the balance of Konos was disturbed by a passing asteroid named Perseid that radiated black energy. This energy led the floating islands' flora to wilt and the saplings to run away in fear. Without the magic of the saplings, the floating islands will soon dry out and crumble to the ground. Destroying Konos' delicate ecosystem.

Funo must act quickly, find the saplings and get them back to the ancient wells to rejuvenate the floating islands and save Konos. Time is of the essence, since the magic islands already begin to crumble.

This game was made in 48 hours even though we took part in the Jam. The color palette used in this game is the original color palette from the legendary Atari2600. Back in the days the Atari had a wonderful color palette as you can see below, however: Because of the hardware-limitations the games used only two to at best ten colors. This game gives a small glimps of how the games back then could have looked like if there would have been no hardware-limitations. Atari2600NTSCpalette.png

Cute little puzzer and i really love the overworld screen where you go from puzzle to puzzle, a great throwback to older games like mario 3

Awesome, really fun. One thing tho, i think it would be better for the gameplay if the character moved in a grid, instead of the free movement you did. Despite that, great game, congrats!

Not very different ground with grass and without. Generally the game is nice

Cute puzzle game. Reminds me a bit of old games and those ice puzzles from pokemon. Sometimes platforms disappeared while i still was on them.

Very cute game but with a few bugs.

Really fun and cute, enjoyed it a lot! It would probably make sense to keep the player movement grid-based, as I got stuck between falling tiles or activated unintended tiles by veering a bit off course a couple of times.

Great job on the game! I absolutely loved the art style and animations. The levels taught the game mechanics well. A couple of qualms I had was that sometimes a tile would be destroyed before I had really walked on it (some sort of collision issue I think) and the game didn't function at the correct resolution when in full screen. Cool game overall!

I grew up with an Atari 2600 and this would have been my favorite game on it. I _love_ this game. My only disappointment was getting to the end of game screen :) . Although, even there I liked the 8-bit portraits.

Wish I could provide some constructive feedback on things to improve, but it's almost perfect.

Best game I've played so far.

I loved it! The only thing that bothered me is "Presss space to continue" button, it wasn't pixelated, which harms the pixel art effect of the game. I think grid based walk would fit the game better.

Really nice game, it was really enjoyable to play it until the end!

The free movement bring some problems (if you walk too close to the edge, adjacent "cases" fall even if wasn't on them) so a gird may have been better ?)

Good polish level anyway, and really nice oldschool game vibe

Looked great, but I wish I could skip level transition, end of level animation and teleport animations. On the second to last level, I didn't use the teleport and the level was easy. As already mentioned there were times when the ground disappeared before I really went on it. Grid base movement would have fit the game better ?

The pixel art was really good! Very polished aesthetically, although gameplay-wise I ran into the bug a few others mentioned where tiles fall while I'm walking on them. The puzzles were a bit easy but fun to work out.

Great game. Mechanics are introduced very well and puzzles are solid. Would definitely love to see more of this, was actually quite sad when I completed it as I wanted to play more levels. Art is fantastic and the audio is excellent. Good job! :D

Really enjoyed some of the puzzle designs. All the artwork and sound design fit well with the games premise. As has already been stated, I think grid-based movement might have fit a little better with the games core mechanic.

Nice little puzzle game. I played it through, though I think I may take a shortcut in a level due to the game not registering that I crossed a tile.

Solid game. All there is to say was already mentioned.
Thanks for the little fact sheet on the palette.

Very cute game! The oldschool graphics and sound are a nice throwback to the old consoles, I like it! The controls feel a little loose, sometimes a block falls even though I barely touched it, also I wish I could throw myself out of the stage to restart haha. Nice game, good work!

Cute and fun, I appreaciate the different game mechanics. A bit difficult the first time with an "azerty" keyboard.
As others have said, there was a little bug where the ground disappeared without me walking on it.
But it'a great game :)

Sometimes the blocks fall without me walking over it which result in some akward moments.

I think this could be fixed with grid-based movement
but overall its a fun little game.

Nice work. The game was challenging but not too difficult. I found myself having to strategize and it was fun to see my planning actually pay off. You did an amazing job with the graphics, I like especially the flower patterns at the end of each level.

Nice job! I feel the same as most other commenters: movement would be better on a discrete grid, aesthetics are terrific, progression through the levels is very good. The thing that would most improve the game is more content!

In all honesty, I didn't have a single issue with the movement. It's implemented well despite not being grid based. In fact it is good this way because I have time to stop before I move to the next block. Nice job with the art BTW!

Hey I really enjoyed your game. The puzzles were fun and I loved the art work. Got stuck a few times on other tiles which caused them to fall before I stepped on them, but once I figured out you could do that, it was easy to avoid. Good Work!

Very cute puzzle game! I liked the graphics and sounds. The puzzles were fun. The level map was a nice touch. Overall well done! Every now and then I'd accidently nudge into a tile I didn't attend to walk on and it would fall causing me to restart, but it was never a big deal :)

A nice puzzle game with very relaxing music. I really enjoyed the game, and the puzzle in later stages is pretty difficult.

I think this animation could be flipped to the other side tho - just a very minor thing, because the game was very good and complete, I don't really have anything to comment  Good job putting together this very solid entry!

Fun game! The mechanics were very self-explanatory. I feel like I might have cheesed my way through a few levels by walking on the very edges of tiles.

The world map was a very cute addition.

I loooove it! The art is very cute. The puzzles are nice. As someone has mentioned, grid movement would be nice, but I know myself that it can be a bit tricky to implement that in Unity, and besides it's not a big deal, the game was enjoyable without it. One minor graphical thing I would point out is the scrolling background. At times it seemed as if it's a part of the main island. Perhaps make things more blue-y in the background, as if to make them appear more distant? But that's a really minor thing.

I loved the rejuvenation effect of the islands, and the little victory dance. The in-between level overworld transition was also a very nice touch. Very reminiscent of old games. Great job, everyone! <3

I liked the ending flourish when you beat a level, and the in-between audio. I had to think a little on the last two puzzles, the other ones were fairly straight forward but the last puzzle seemed interesting.
