About This Game

In this game you need to collect coins to complete the game. Total you have 5 minutes and in 5 minutes you need to collect 100 coins to win the game. But there are also some red enemies. In fact red enemies mean's coins strollers. When you touch the red enemy or red enemy touch you then your coins will be reset to 0 (For example you have 5 coins and if you touch the red enemy then your coins will become 0 and one more enemy will be spawn in the game but if first time you have 5 coins and you touch the red enemy then 5 enemies will be spawned.

Features

You can view left and right side by moving your mouse or your finger on the touch pad.

Red enemies only follow the nearest coins. And all the red enemies make a group and follow a coin alltogether.

Red enemies only jump when they are near the wall to ignore the wall. But you can jump any time any where by just clicking Space button. This will also help you in game to run fast.

Red enemies are stupid in the game so they are hang on the wall some time.

Facts

You can pause the game by clicking ESC button but game will not be paused because this is a bug that i make for you and only for you.

This game is designed and developed by a 14 years old boy in 48 hours.

I tried to play it, but its too broken:

- The scroll speed in the start menu is so slow, it takes a few minutes to scroll until you can hit the start button. Super annoying but easy to fix!

- the camera pans to the side at the start of the game and only reacts to mouse input in a specific spot on the top right corner

The few seconds I was able to play were pretty promising tho, I'd love to give it another try later, I hope you can fix the bugs. Won't rate it now. :)

Also kudos to you, I wasn't remotely able to do any of this at the age of 14, good job, keep going!!

Hey, for me the link work, for the scrolling at the start i see that i can click and go up with my mouse it work too. I in begium so the querty was difficult so I tried with my xbox controller to move and just the keyboard to jump ^^ But the jump in high enough to jump above the barrier.

Can't click on any of the menu items except for Exit, so impossible to judge the gameplay. Liking the music and the visuals that I can see though!

I like the mouse cursor :) The environment is chill, but same as @harry-damm I am unable to do enything else than Exit. Need to come later

Could the jump strength be frame-rate dependent? That would explain why some of us just can't jump high enough.

A little bit frustrating to have to double jump to get over the walls, but a fun game. Losing all of your coins has somewhat of a sonic feel

Game is made well.. But the most effort was put on game Menu and controls only i could rarely see any enemy in fact only in the starting of the game. i reached till the end of the game without even having any trouble. I was more interested to find something new in the game. Sounds is really good and matches with game. I liked the idea of how game relates with the theme but the only place i was disappointed was that there is not much in the game. I was enjoying in the games environment but not for a longer time. I also like the idea of using primitive gameobjects any ways good luck and have fun...

There was alot of text setup for how simple the game is. I kept hearing the sound of coins being picked up eventhough I wasn't picking them up myself. It was as loud as If I was doing it. If its the enemies picking them up, consider making the audio reflect this.

Sounds and looks quite cool! Nice to see other young developers like me.

Although, scroll speed is quite slow and i didn't quite get the idea as winning is very hard considering you have to collect ALL the coins and they reset if you touch an enemy.

Like some others here, looks like I'm unable to jump high enough (or even at all) to get through the game. Also already stated, the introduction is a huge wall of text, try to trim it down a bit.

The game is good, I'm really impressed with how much you've accomplished. You've worked hard on this and it shows!

Nice work, keep at it! I liked the concept of the red A.I. characters racing you to the coins! Looks like most critique has already been said by others: couldn't jump high enough, instructions too long. Overall a good job for being developed in under 48. Next game jam you might want to try a smaller scoped game to give more time for polish and bug fixing, perhaps this concept in 2D instead of 3D would have been quicker to implement.

@mia-devs Setup a single jump and not put a jump of ants, especially on a runner, at the limit the double jump can be good to reach heights of pieces. The camera rotation on the forward axis is simply useless and counter intuitive ...

@mia-devs Ah! I see that now. Perhaps holding the jump button to jump higher instead of pressing 3 times would be more intuitive, or just have the default jump height be higher.

That was some creepy music (but good)! It made it feel like I was in a horror movie! I had some issues with the jumping but overall, cool game.

The text at the beginning felt too long, it would be great to have gameplay explained during the game instead of reading a long text. But the idea is cool and graphics were realy neat!

Very nice and moody music. Nice to hear that the jump will be fixed soon, but I actually enjoyed hammering the SPACE bar to levitate enough to get over the hurdles. Added an extra dimension to the game! Well done!

I was able to complete the game, and it was good.
Some Feedback:
-The introduction takes a long time to scroll through.
-Jumping near a wall sometimes doesn't work.
-The red blocks didn't do much after the first 10 seconds of the game, so I was just collecting coins.

Superjumps are possible if you jump right in front of a wall, but they're actually bad since they keep you off the floor longer than you usually want.

The physics were a little weird, and the coins got generated inside walls sometimes therefore making them impossible to grab, and the thing scrolled waaay too slow. I like the idea, it fits with the theme, and nice effort!

No restarting after falling trought the wall, the music is perfect for a horror game, not fiting quite well this colorfull scenario. Nice efects on the coins and putting some behaviour to the enemies. Congratullations!

Well, you had a nice idea and it seems you've put some effort in that game.
I wish I started my journey in your age.. :smile:

The concept itself is nice, but you definitely learn more :wink:


What I think could be improved:
- UI - it took me some time to even start the game, idk why it was so
- Camera - That was terrible, I had to fix it and don't touch my mouse in order not to make camera crazy.
- Enemies - Besides running forward there was no challenge and those enemies weren't dangerous at at all

The music is fine, maybe it does not fit the game the best, but it's better than nothing :slight_smile:

You made an interesting game, and I hope you will keep on learning and making even better ones! :smiley:

I enjoyed the music and the visual effects :)

For the tutorial, there's way too much information and it could be summarized in just a couple lines. Also, the text scrolling is way too slow.

@mia-devs It's probably a difference in scroll wheels/scroll settings. Adding a bar you can drag would probably help with that :) Still, Good job

So, the initial scroll down is very slow, but I could click and drag it all down, that's good.
After a few seconds the enemies simply disappear and don't spawn again, and the wall that we are supposed to touch to restart, doesn't work for me, but I liked the idea, I will be waiting for the update to play it more

Nice Idea, not so good execution.

- The camera was a bit anoying, so I just kept it centered.
+ Main menu design was nice, although the buttons are a bit too far off the side
- Some bugs:
- Was not able to jump the first time I tried to play
- I just fell of the map at the end
+ Music and sound were nice, although I would have liked to be able to change the volume.
- The enemys were a bit to slow if you play right. Maybe make them faster if the player is far ahead of them or has a lot of coins already.

Keep it going!

Great game, few bugs apart from the fact the end wall doesn't work, but impressive for a lone 14 year old in 48 hours, I can see people playing this on mobile.

I like the idea and loved the music, but there's quite a few small things that just don't quite make it fun for me.

I was able to get so far ahead that I never noticed anything, so it just became running around collecting coins after a while. The start was fun, but after I reached that point, it was a bit boring for me.

The end wall doesn't work and the scroll speed for the start needs to be sped up or skippable.

Those are my biggest complaints, but other than that I really enjoyed the start where I had to worry about enemies. With some work and bug fixes, I think this would be a great game! I hope you keep working on it.

Absolutely loved the music. Couldn't get jumping to work right. (Is there a cooldown period or something on jumping?) Anyway, good job, very atmospheric game.

Great job! Jumping was a bit laggy but otherwise it felt really fluid :D Like the simple aesthetics and the music. And I LOVED how cool the minimap looks!!

This game is quiet interesting, I felt a bit weird about the jump. It feels like you have to load it and it triggers on "space" release. I ended up keeping space pressed and release it when needed. In my opinion you should instead trigger the jump on "space" key pressed :)
You could also make the coins hitbox a bit bigger, or spheric ! ;)

Very nice for a first game!
Good idea, and I really liked the sound and the minimap :)
Some notes:
Jumping at KeyUp is a bit frustrating and unexpected, it should really be at KeyDown. Also, touching the walls somehow blocks the jump

But that was cool, good luck with further projects ;)

I can appreciate the effort that went into this. Some of the features like the mini-map are pretty cool, but I feel the game is lacking in the basics. The gameplay is not terribly engaging, and the controls definitely do not feel 100% right. Overall good effort!

A double jump could be a little better constructed, I often hit obstacles when I tried double jump.

It's lovely to see younger people getting into GameDev.

I dont want to repeat everything said above, as I agree with the other guys.
The minimap is a nice touch aswell.

Good work, music I enjoyed the music, but it seems like horror themed music to me, it doesnt fit the game. Despite being just boxes graphics were clean. I couldn't jump very high like many people here, and minimap looks good, the theme I think it could have been a more interesting idea than this. Also I appreciate the fact you rated over 70 games, very few people take the time to give so much feedback. Thank you.

i just tried the game.
As soon as i managed how to jump (double jump) i got really far ahead of these red boxes.
So i kinda missed a challenge in the game.

All in all a good start for your first jam! Keep up the work!

So I just finished a run, and I there are many things I'd like to say!

- Too many rules at the beginning, I did not read everything, I expect from a game to have one or two rules, then to be intuitive or explain the controls one by one, taking some time between two
- The jump is hard to get used to and the gravity felt really low, which is strange for a "rush", I'd have prefer a more punchy jump and landing !
- The coins colliders should be spherical, while you're going further in the level it's hard to predict the coins rotation to pick them up, and since they are rotating, a sphere collider is more than legit
- I didn't see any enemy ? At start I saw some of them but quickly I was just alone picking up coins ?
- So I picked up coins for 3-4 minutes then I reached the wall, and back to main menu like nothing happened :/

Overall I think that, like this, the game isn't fun at all. However, simply by changing the pace of it, the jump, add some VFX and feedbacks, it can be a pretty cool fast paced game, with some more levels of different colors or something like this to avoid the repetition feeling! You should keep on working on it :)

Not bad, sometimes it's a bit difficult to double jump. There were several occurrences when I try to double jump over a wall but I would stick to it and have to go back from the wall and try double jumping again. Nice work!

The mini-map is so cute! I like the general mood of the also. I didn't read the wall of text at the begining so I wasn't sure I missed something but it was still easy to pick up and play. Well made, congrats!
