For millenia, your world was at peace. A perfect balance. It's easy when you've squashed all attempts at sentient evolution.

But now a fleet from the doomed world next door threatens your existence. You know that if they land, the life essence of your tiny little planet will succumb to their rapacious needs.

In this final hour, you begin your last Natural Defense in an attempt to defend your precious resources from the inconsiderate refugees.

Do what it takes to survive. It's you or them! Your world will never be the same!

Hi AfroAnt im sachos the creator of Antnator, i played your game and i actually relly enjoyed it, took me 3 rounds to beat it. The first one i did not understand what i was doing, the second one i realized what the white orbs did (the resource) but i did not realize that i needed to plant trees to get more resources, that way i beat the game in round 3. My complain is that for some reason part of the UI was hidden under my taskbar and that was solved going fullscreen using Alt+Return but the top of the UI i cant see, dont know what is written up there haha. Love the art of the trent haha. Good job!

It's a cool idea, I also made a circular world but in my case you play as the invader :joy: I think it would be a good idea to post some instructions with the description. Also, I don't know if it's a bug, but at some point the pressure remained on top, and volcanos were destroying ufos non stop.

Hmm, are you sure everything is fine with mac version? I mean nobody does anything to my planet. I finished the game at first try just holding "D" and LMB. Besides that, i like the responsiveness of this game. It's very fast and I imagine if someone shot to me it may be fun :)

UFOs are working as intended. They're supposed to be refugees looking for a place to live. When they land, they suck up resources and start to suck the life force out of your world.

So there's two problems: 1) None of this is conveyed in game, and 2) the game is so easy none of the UFOs land sometimes! I always err on the easy side of difficulty, but it seems I've gone too far this time. Thanks for checking the game out!

I enjoyed it! Pretty easy, but satisfying running around in a circle blasting ships. The art was nice too - really liked the final, capital ship!

I'm not really sure how to play the game. I planted stuff and shot stuff. I just kinda died alot. Neat game overall though.

Nice implementation on the rotating small world. I also like how the tree is shooting meteors haha, or at least I think it is. I never had a UFO land but I understand your decision to err on the easy side, I do the same thing myself. Kind of a moot suggestion but if the UFOs shot things downwards it could spice things up, though that was the mechanic we used so idk...

Super easy, but also pretty fun. We erred on the side of being too difficult, so some middle ground needs to be found. I think it could be interesting if the volcanoes destroyed a few trees when they fired. It would give it a bit of risk/reward. As it was, I just spammed w and s and L-click until I won. Really fun, but probably it would need a few more catches if it was much longer.

I didn't realize you could plant trees and make volcanoes, I went back and played twice more after reading a comment and bunmped the score up a little. Overall very nice game, a little bit easy once you get the hang of it.

My only suggestions is that you should make the player space out the trees and volcanoes so that they can only have so many, something to add a bit of difficulty.

so, when I finished the game and got to the option to "quit" or "restart", the "quit"-button didn't work.
I don't know if that was your intension, but if it was: well played, sir!
earned you some additional points for "humor" :)
I also thought the mechanics to be nicely balanced, not too easy and not too hard.

Very fun game. I think there was little energy to collect and beat the final boss. Nice art and good job!

Cool game! Easy to play, but what I totally didnt get is that you can place volkanos and trees by w and s. Also what does the pressure mean? :) I didn't notice how it affects the gameplay. But it was pleasant and fun to play!
Edit: Oh! I did get it from the second playthrough - you can shoot down to erupt volcanos before it fully charges, cool! Btw, founding that volcano/tree system makes it soooo much easier. I did get to the boss even eithout them :D

Really really great game!
As everyone is saying, planting trees and volcanoes wasn't clear at first, you could have had a little animation, like the ground sparkling, or audio, when you plant something. Also the 20 trees and 50 volcanoes didn't change, so that was confusing. Have the numbers change would have helped as well.
Anyway nice game in general, and cool little animation in the beginning. ;)

I think planting trees is too easy. I just spent all my energy in planting trees, and I easily reached 5000 energy points and then I just killed everyone by shooting randomly.
Also, is it on purpose that at some point, all my volcanoes start shooting continuously?
