Hey space cowboy, get on your horsemet, take out your lariat gun and go catch some cowmets!
Be carefull that cowmets are not simple to catch, so you have to chase them down until they stop. Yay!

My playthrough (with game breaking): https://youtu.be/-72c4B0jZhs
The game is fun and simple enough, and very intuitive. I actually lost track of the first cow I tried to catch, but I nailed it from the second one. Not much to it, but the choice of music and the constant movement made it way more enjoyable than it could have been otherwise. Thus, the game has a great presentation.
From the graphics standpoint, I also rate this one highly. I'm the art guy of our team, and I like seeing what others did in this regard with their time. 3D is something very alien to me, and I usually tend to assume that stuff done in 72 hours should be simplistic and rushed. Then, stuff like Cowmets prove me wrong. The characters look more than fine, and the models have a very fitting aesthetic. I jiggled whenever I saw the round horse. Kudos for making something that's not only functional, but also memorable.
If I could leave some feedback for the future, should you decide to further enhance this game, it'd be to add more features while keeping the game's core mechanics mostly intact. I mean, I found the game somewhat easy, even with the hardest cows (I mean, I'm no expert, but I read the previous comments of people saying it was too hard, and I just don't see that). Maybe, say, add upgrades or power ups or something for speed boosts or better lassos, or a time limit, or hazards or something. Maybe even more types of cowmets, and allow the player to see their collection and what not.
All in all, I don't think I could be any more satisfied. Kudos for making something this fun in so little time. I'm looking forward to see what you can come up with next! :whale:
Graphics are awesome and so is the sound, especially the music that plays when you're chasing the cowmet :joy:. I'm glad I found this one through random game finder! Keep up the good work!
Although right now I only have a track pad so I couldn't really play it properly. I will update this post when I can.
Charming art, funny characters, great music, better transitions from planet to space than no man's sky, and freakin' cows.
Superb entry, my highest rated yet.
My Game is HTML5 too, Please feel free to rate my game if you have time [Not So Small (HTML5)](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/not-so-small)
There seemed to be some hitches at least in the web player version which could be a bit frustrating (hitching while trying to catch one of the red cows was nearly a guaranteed escape for them).
- music , Art, and gameplay +10 for every thing .
- i enjoyed a lot .
- was curious to know that was i the only one who just presed the mouse right button when i was chasing cows ???
Good:
- Funny game
- Jokes
- Funny character design, "cowalicious" some people will say ;). Look at my horse, my horse is amazing!
- Good music that put you in the cowboys mood, yihaaa!
Bad:
- The web version in fullscreen is unplayable, the lag is too damn high!
- The cows supposed to be hard or very hard aren't hard enough. Also, the game needs some challenge, like a timer (you have to get your six cowmets in 2 minutes for example)
- The dialog is a bit too fast, no auto-skip would have been better
- I targeted and shooted an already captured cow. The game acted like if it was a wild cow, but my gun was blocked on this cow and I wasn't able to target anything else. So ...

- The character art fit so well. They look like they're from some strange universe where wrangling spherical cows is the norm, and I love it.
- The feedback for player input (i.e when you enter "aim mode", a little sound plays and the reticule rotates a little) was fantastically done. It makes it feel so polished.
- The spherical animal art was hilarious, as well as the moos of the cows when you eventually wrangle them.
- I love how there are different "Grades" of cows. Once I learned that there were "rare cowmets", my insatiable thirst for rare cowmet blood made me hunt them exclusively (until I captured them all).
- The game controls so smoothly. I love the way the aiming works, where the reticule turns green for a potentially-successful shot. Chasing down the cows was very satisfying, and the music change fit really well.
Amazing job. Such a ridiculously polished game for a gamejam.
Maybe the camera its a little bit dizzy.
I hope there is a lifelong job like this. :joy:
Also I love that "cowlicious" was the only graphics option XD
I think one thing that was a little confusing was exactly what it took to successfully catch a cowmet. At first I thought I just had to reach it, but it seems to be more timebased, like I just have to be within a certain range of it for a certain amount of time? It was a little hard to tell so I wasn't sure whether it was my fault that I couldn't capture the red cowmet, or if I was just doing it wrong.
The graphics were, of course, cowalicious.
Good job!
critique: I would like to have different ways to "pull" the cowmets, and have more of an indication of how well I'm doing. Sometimes I'd be at a close range for a while and I couldn't tell if I was pulling them closer to me. Overall really fun and original.Good Job!
