Hey! Nice game! I think the effect of going around the world was nice in a 3d sense. The one thing I would recommend in the future is to raise the intensity of the gameplay. I felt like I was waiting for something to happen for about a minute and a half until the intensity of the game actually became a challenge. However I thought the effect was cool. The asteroids hitting the earth and destroying trees reinforced the players need to avoid them. That made the avoiding seem all the more real. Nice game glad you got to finish!

Thanks for the feedback @adroitboss. Indeed, after COMPO I noticed that the gameplay is not well balanced. I spent too much time on the implementation of the player movement and I did not have enough time for other elements to perform better.

Actually not a bad time-sink! Was fun to play, nice to see someone else tackle the 3D world style.

I like this as a base game, would love to see it expanded in the future! Main gripe would be that I never really felt in danger or challenged but you have already addressed this in another response! Good luck!

Cute game. Plays pretty well, but I think it would do a little better if the camera angle was more overhead instead of on the horizon. Thanks for making it!

Nice game! Reached 265 seconds! Haha. Maybe the game needs some obstacles, when the meteors destroy all the trees there's nothing more to limit your movement around the planet. And i'll suggest to add an option to mute the music next time! ^^

Good work! My game also takes place in a small 3D planet, try it if you want! ;)

The idea is neat but something is missing. I never felt stressed or panicked. I think being able to hear meteorites as they're coming closer would add a lot. Making the terrain more difficult to navigate could also improve the gameplay as you would have to frantically watch the skies and at the same time watch where you're going. As it is right now you can look straight up all the time. But overall it's a nice little game, good job man!

You are right @aleal-dev. This music is quickly becoming annoying: P

About navigation and no obstacles. Maybe only lava damage are small? Are shields pointless? I thought lava would limit player's movement.
Mayby additional mountains would by good.

I like idea of meteroties sound @erik-brunnstrom :D

I loved the game! Easy to understand and the controls are very intuitive! Awesome Job!

So one day, I was just admiring all the trees on my small planet, and then meteors started hitting left and right! This is brilliant, especially considering it's your first game! Very well done.

Well done! the camera could be positioned a little better. other than that, well done for your first game.

Cute little game. The idea is good but I feel like it could do with a bit more difficulty.

This is fantastic! Simplistic mechanics with a simple art style and it's 3d, which is always impressive for LD. Everything works really well, my only issues are the difficulty (it's a bit too easy) and the camera angle could be slightly more above the player so you can see what's landing around you a little better.

I can see this working as a mobile game using motion controls, all it needs is a few more simple mechanics that increase the difficulty and you got yourself a real solid game

@conk You can change camera angle with Right Mouse Button :)

@sleepystudios Yes. It is too easy. I didnot mannage to balance gamplay on time :(

The game isn't very challenging, i just kept moving forward without nothing really threatening me for about 3 minutes, and then an asteroid hit me straight on and i was sent flying into space. Which was pretty amusing, to be fair. I like the premise though, the 3D movement is well made and the graphics work quite well.

Nice little casual game. And once I figured out I could change the camera angle, I felt like I had a good overview and good control over what's happening. I found it most comfortable to keep the angle perpendicular to the surface. A few more gameplay elements would make the difficulty curve more sophisticated, but as a compo entry, this is a solid, complete and quite polished game. Well done, I like it!

Cool idea, very well polished and fun to play. As mentioned in previous comments, the only thing worth mentioning is it could do with the difficulty being cranked up a little. Great job overall

A fun little game, movement felt responsive which made it great when weaving between lava puddles! I think the health regen cubes gave back a bit too much health though, never really had an incentive to go looking for them because you either get crushed by a meteor immediately or take chip damage when touching a puddle for a second. Otherwise, great stuff, it was fun.

I think the game is a little bit to easy

Its a bit simple, hard to see the asteroids coming. I pressed down key for 3 mins and then stopped the game. My suggestion would be to think about the challenge you want the player to be solving and then build all sorts of feedback mechanisms in the game to help the player. EG a drop indcator on the floor to dodge, a 3 sec speedup button, etc

Survived for almost 4 minutes. Excellent work on your first game! The music could've used some percussion and looped a bit better, and the world could've had some more stuff to make the surviving a bit more exciting. But overall, a nice game, if maybe a bit too easy. The difficulty should ramp up a bit quicker, I think. One nice touch I really liked was how I started orbiting at one point and did a few loops around the planet, that was fun

I loved the aesthetics and gameplay. Excellent lowpolyart.
I considered making my game in 3d like yours but I was afraid of not being able to finish.
congratulations

The graphics were pretty amazing, but it really lacked in terms of gameplay :/
It's pretty cool for your first entry though.
Maybe it would've helped if the difficulty increased faster, as I was surviving for 6 minutes and it only felt like a challenge since the fifth minute or so.

The graphics were pretty nice, but I think the game didn't really ramp up to an interesting level of difficultly fast enough. Excellent idea though! =)

Nice looking game. The game was a bit on the easy side for several minutes.

There was really no other direction to go to, but down, since the camera was a bit low to be able to see if you went up :D

You could even have enemies crawling on the ground and you'd have to shoot them or lead them to the hot spots to be destroyed :D

I really liked the perspective of everything. Walking around on the planet felt nice, and I kinda started to feel a sense of ownership towards it! I think a quick blurb at the beginning saying like "The world is ending, dodge the asteroids!" or something would go a long way towards communicating to the player what they should expect. Good work!
