The ruleset generator was super interesting and made for a good read. But that wasn't the only strong point of the game. I thought the graphics were really great and added a lot of highly professional polish to the game. The UI was also really solid apart from a few minor typos. I liked the sound effects a lot too, and the addition of the (really nice I might add) BGM was yet another stroke of polish that really assisted the game.\n\nA couple of possible improvements I could suggest: (1) Enemies don't seem to have i-frames even though they do flash, so you can hack them down really quickly. They could probably afford to be a little tougher too. I liked the range of animations on them a lot though. (2) As mentioned earlier in the thread there were a few bugs, although one I noticed is that sometimes you enter doors while not walking toward them (just by getting close enough, as though there's a square hitbox right in front but it doesn't check whether you're walking \"north\" w.r.t. the camera). \n\nThanks a lot for the cool and really interesting submission! Different objects and enemies unique to a particular type of world (ie - ice) would add a feeling of each world being special in its own way; the enemies could use have their appearance and an attack (to add to the challenge and avoid the feeling of \"oh, just another block enemy\") randomly chosen based on the world type.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"DiegoCTorguet","author_uid":"1012898","time":"2017-05-16T10:34:59Z","epoch":1494930899,"modified":1494930899,"text":"This is one of the best projects I've seen in this jam. Not just the gameplay and the nice aesthetics and all, but also from a technical aspect. The whole concept of dynamic goals, rules and conditions is something that really deserves being further researched. Personally I haven't encountered this mechanic elsewhere, and even if it exists in other games, I don't think it's that popular. But I truly believe that something like this can be groundbreaking if examined more. It could be applied into a new kind of roguelite\/roguelike games where not just the levels, but the actual \"game\" is random. Your game had that implemented really well in my opinion. Also it had really nice and simple graphics, and it was a fun game overall.
