386 is my high score :p . I like the music and the sound effects, it gives a real arcade and retro vibe to the game. I don't know if the recoil is on purpose, but it makes the game really hard for some reason x)
Maybe also having the generator heal up would have been nice. So that you are not doom after a certain time.

In any case, good job!

Definitely reminds me of old school arcade. It's really difficult! I wasn't able to last long through my 4 or 5 attempts but I did get better as I went. If I had to give one complaint I'd say the controls were a bit too sensitive. I had a ton of trouble climbing the buildings.

Despite that, it's so satisfying to kill the enemies and see them melt into little red pools! Good job!

This plot sounds strangely familiar, One Punch Man? ;)
Gameplay is simple but entertaining and difficulty is pretty well balanced. Controls could use some polishing (although difficult climbing might be part of challenge) but other than that i don't have any complaints.

I found a little bug. I was on the right side and got hit from an an enemy and fall out of the screen and couldn't come back. :D
But it is a nice game and i enjoyed it.

@zeriver
Lol. Now that you mention it, it does seem to be taken directly from One Punch Man.

@rahtainka
Thanks for telling me about the bug. Hope it wasn't too much of a problem.

Really nice old-school vibe. Fun gameplay. I thought the controls were just a bit too loose, especially considering the punishment for one wrong move results in you either getting smacked off the screen, or letting an invader up a whole building! Good game, though!

Lol, I played way more than I am going to admit XD

I really liked the weapon knockback but I only wished I could jump through the platforms. It was almost impossible to get an enemy if the got on the second platform.
Good job !!!

Nice game! And I like the music.
I don't get used to arrow keys move, maybe you can add WSAD move next time.
Good job!

I found it a little too barebones I would like to see some power ups or enemy variation (unless they appear after a certain score if so please disregard). That aside I felt that the character was too slippery so the platform jump was a little too difficult if your aim was to be fast and move from a tower to tower, and I liked the gun's recoil, it was a good idea for player camping.

@cymansap, great entry. Solid gameplay that was fun and a lil addicting. Maybe a small suggestion would be to add some surface friction to the platforms. I felt they were a little slippery, but otherwise a great game!

Pretty solid platform shooter. I found jumping on platforms to be really awkward because they are really small, and you'd hit them when you are underneath. I think it would be good if you can make it possible to jump through the platforms from underneath.

Would have been a good idea for a coin-op back in the day!

Pretty good little platformer. I'm not the greatest at platform games, so I had a tough time jumping to the small platforms. The controls didn't really help me there. Because I never got very far, I couldn't see if there were bonuses or something to spend the coins on.

The art is pretty basic but cute. The music and sound all suit the theme well.

Reminds me of Wreck it Ralph like it was an actual arcade cabinet from the early 90s. Controls are a bit clunky but otherwise a solid entry.

My only complaint is that up or space didn't jump. For me, those pathways are so hardwired into my nervous system that jumping with x was almost impossible. Still, the game felt great, had some nice feedback and a good balance for the weight of the sound effects to the music to general volume of other applications (AKA you didn't cause my ears to bleed) and for that, I thank you. A really cool entry, I just wish I was more coordinated and could play it better. It had that cool retro feel like CaveStory. Bravo!

Good job. The game works pretty well and feels good, asides of the jumping which I did not like at all. I found it too hard to even climb up the towers.

Really cool game! The graphics are really nice, the aliens could perhaps use a little more touch but overall it great. Music is immersive and really sets up the mood for the game. And as far as the gameplay is concerned I think it's really well executed. Jumping could be polished a bit more and perhaps it would be good if it was possible to jump on the platform directly from being bellow it. What I really really liked and noticed quite soon as I begun spamming my gun on the aliens is that it has recoil and WILL push you off the platform if you resort to this tactics. Adding the coins which drop from aliens is also a nice touch though I CBA to pick them up anymore once the number of baddies grew.

Great Compo entry, keep it up! :thumbsup:

Nice game! The jumping is pretty precise which is fine, it's meant to be a tough game and is still pretty playable. Good work on the A.I. also, that keeps the player on their toes, although I could have done with an elevator or something for when all 4 towers are under attack.

Nice Game!. I fine the platform a little too restrictive (maybe you could have done platform that can be passed through from the bottom tot be more simple for the player to climb). Other than that I liked the concept, the ennemy and the gun feeling. The music is great. Very good job!

Good entry, bonus points for a chunky gun with screen shake and knockback! Graphics and sound were fun - I think you were a bit stingy with the platforms (they're really small). Had a lot of fun blasting aliens.

Well done, thanks for sharing!

lot of good things happening in this game - retro feel and music - obviously more type of levels are needed - very nice game
