Rocket Me Out Of Here! by Niten

made by Niten for LD 38 (JAM)

So, this was our first ever jam. Pretty much no experience with gamedev, but here we are! Rocket Me Out Of Here is a very simple game, where your only job is to get out of that place! How to do that? Using the rocket of course! But the fuel is scattered all over the place, surrounded by the last (and very hungry) of the wolf kind.. But you CAN do this! Zrzut ekranu (3).png Zrzut ekranu (4).png Zrzut ekranu (5).png We're aware of many existing bugs, and not perfectly working mechanics, but we had some problems along the way, and we're happy anyway to see this game finished, even if it's not what we've planned. But hey, it can be only better from now, right?! Anyway, i hope you'll give it a go and maybe even enjoy it! Even a little aspect of that game!

Take care guys, and enjoy!

We opt-out from the music stuff.

The environment and sound/music of the game is nice! Cool idea for an objective too. Music is a little loud though.

Cool game ! I do not really like search-based game, but I confess that the music is quite cool, we see that you gave importance to the environment. I think you could make different sounds for each ground we can walking on though, because taht is a little weird that, when we walk on wood platforms, our steps sounds like gravel/earth biting x)
Continue working on games :)

Zelda-ish vibe detected! :D Like the graphics feel, a good choice for a LD game.

Pretty and fun game! Combat could use a bit more work, especially the attack animations have too much anticipation (protip: any anticipation is almost surely too much anticipation in games). Love the physics of destroying things, having the pieces fly away is surely a lot of fun!

Short but sweet! The graphics are nice, animation looks a bit floaty though. Game was pretty easy to beat, I think. The walking on the ground sound effect was maybe a bit too loud. Overall, pretty decent.

This game looked great and it was pretty fun! Breaking boxes got a bit repetitive. Wonderful job!

Good job with the gfx and setting! You guys may have taken up a bit too much for 72 hours, but for that time frame it's pretty cool!

I won! With a score of 3000. That was quite fun, and I imagine that you had a bigger overall idea for the game before you ran out of time. Took me ages to find the last can until I stopped and thought "where would *I* hide a fuel can?" :D

The movement and combat was floaty but serviceable. I liked that I could break boxes for points. Art was excellent and made for a nice mood.

Congratulations on your first Jam! I thought it was pretty fun to play. Real nice environment and the music was pretty peaceful; although, was a little confused in what the crystals were for at first. I did have fun though breaking the barrels/boxes and jumping off. Good work!
