Chameleon Clicker by Dark Arts and Sciences

[raw]
made by Dark Arts and Sciences for LD35 (JAM)
Chameleons will hold still and blend into the background when you look at them. Look away and they start moving, shedding a trail of old pixels.

See how many you can find and click, or just spin the mouse and watch the pixels shift.

HINT: Click the invisible chameleon, not its visible trail.

This is definitely innovative, but a little frustrating to get the mechanics down in order to progress.

I really liked the concept of finding hidden shapes.

Cool idea!! This looks like it would be a very cool phone game! It took me a minute to figure out what to do!

Interesting idea, but it really felt more like guesswork and luck than skill.

Interesting, but im not sure if your mechanic is working. It seemed to but updating the trail sometimes even if i was looking at them.

I absolutely love this concept, but there could be a better tutorial/explanation, the mechanic is very difficult to get the first few times. An improved version of this would be amazing!

Cool idea, but in practice it felt like point-and-click adventure spamming.

Interesting game. Could've used a bit of elaboration, though.

Fun, but there have been occasions where it seems I found them all as nothing is moving no matter where I move my mouse, but it still isn't going to the next level. Also the transition between levels is a bit jarring (as is death). Perhaps would be good to get a "success" notification and then move to the next level.
