Try to survive as much as possible to the waves of evil :beetle: thanks to :snail:. But watch out, :snail: will only shoot in rythm 🥁 !

In this game, we tried to combine a tower defense with a rythm game.

Controls

  • Mouse left click : Place a snail (cost 20$)
  • Space : Order to shoot in rythm (5$ waste by missed one)

I like this idea. Had a hard time hitting the bars, though... Maybe add a fuzzier match system, where you can get "good", "perfect", "miss", etc? This could affect the damage done instead of stealing my hard-earned cash... Just a thought. Well done.

I'm not 100% sure, because my rhythm is not the best, but I don't think the ticks that I have to hit are in sync with the music which is kind of the most important thing for this type of game. Good idea though.

The concept is nice and the mix between tower defense and unit shooting on rhythm is pretty good. Perhaps you can remove the gold punishment when you miss a note (snails miss their shot, it's already a big loss) and like @elemel said you can make a grade system to make the shoot stronger/weaker. It's a good entry! Good job! :)

The timing on the rhythm matcher seemed to be off. I couldn't hit them whether or not they were on, before or after the black bar. I also was confused what the purpose of the rhythm matcher was outside of losing my credits...

Very difficult, perhaps just due to the beats being out of sync with the music. After I adjusted a bit and got the hang of it, it seems like a really cool idea to have the tower's shots dependent on your beat and is a great use of the theme.

Really cool concept and I like the style and the atmosphere of the game. Good job. It’s a quite difficult game and It feels like it might be a little bit too punishing in some areas. The shots are really difficult to hit, which might be in part because the music isn’t synced properly to the ticks. Or at least it feels that way. Might just be me who is bad at rhythm games.

There is a possibility that your shots don’t hit the bugs even when you hit the ticks because the bugs aren’t close enough to your towers. It would probably be a good idea to look into the music sync and maybe try a less harsh punishment missing ticks. Still overall, it’s a really good game!
