Nice Game :) - do you thought about adding more elements do make it a little bit harder for the player?

The presentation is top notch, the music is pretty decent...

But after all the chrome of the great graphics and music, there's not really that much gameplay.
- The enemies just swarm up and shoot occasionally, there are no patterns to predict and nothing to engage with.
- The enemy bullets are almost camouflaged. For a game about dodging things, this means any lapse of concentration and you'll eat a shot easily.
- The player movement is a bit too slippery and deters the player from making daring manoeuvres.

I basically just sat clearing one side of the screen, occasionally dodging shots, and stray off the other half to shoot a few things if there seem to be a gap in the bulletstorm. And a lot of the game is like that - a single rhythm. No rise or fall.

I see that there are more enemies that appear later, but I was bored by that time. And mostly the same applies - except now with the enemy that dashes towards you, you have no way of telling whether your shots would kill it so you don't know whether to dodge or not dodge. And dodging something that fast is again not fun in the sea of bullets and with slippery controls.

@matthias-schedel Thanks! Yes, we will love to add more elements like proper weapon system and more complex enemy behaviours if we have the time!

@tuism Thanks for the feedback! The whole idea was the more interaction(eg: moving, interact with ui) you have in the game the more enemies you will face. I guess we did not represent it in a way that you will enjoy it :disappointed_relieved: We will love to add more interesting enemy behaviours and features if we have the time!

Whoa, if that was the core mechanic of the game, it wasn't something that registered with me at all, and I pretty much bet noone else would have got it! If that was the intention, I think the game needs to be more "about" that, and explore what would require the player to interact to cause more enemies to appear, b and let them know that they're causing it to happen, so there's an interesting choice from the player's part.

Great graphics and audio, but is desiring much in the way of game-play. Would love to see more things for the player to do.

A sweet game which makes a lot of fun :) Gameplay is a little bit monotonous, but still works fine for me. Love the sound and the nice art!

Was a fun game to play. The music gives a warm feel to the game (after i turned the volume down a little bit :stuck_out_tongue:). I did have trouble learning how to acquire more oxygen bubbles but overall the game is great!

And what can I say.. Amazing art. Amazing music. Amazing intro. You can pretty much post this in the Apple Store already and my nephew will play the **** out of it. Improvements on gameplay would be great, but from the looks of it I'm pretty sure you guys used most of the time on polishing the art.

The movement could be more tight, its really loose at the moment. I mean the player is underwater but without tight controls the bullets are not really dodgeable. The bullets the player shoots and the bullets of the enemies could be bigger like 5 times bigger probably. Another thing is, the enemies clumb up over each other really fast. Idk how to fix that ^^

I agree with @tuism. The graphics and music are really good, fun and solid, but it seems as you core mechanic doesn't really shine through unfortunately. With some changes it could be a great game!

First of all, the team want to thank all of you! We appreciate all the feedbacks and comments from you all.
From all the comments we learnt that we did not represent our core mechanics "The more you interact with things in the game, the harder it gets" very well. Try to interact with the buttons to increase the difficulty of the game. Even though we do not have much content in the game, we are happy to see that most of you enjoy the mood and graphics of the game. This boosts our morale by a lot!

The art and music are very good. However, if you are going to make a bullet dodging game, it is very important to keep the controls very sharp. As it is, it takes too long to stop and turn for dodging to really be possible. I want to like this game, but it just isn't very fun to play right now. A good idea, and I hope you can improve it into a great game.

Fun gameplay! Graphics are astonishing and the music is good, I kinda missed some power ups or differents shots (maybe i didn`t get one because I couldn`t get past 6000 score =P) but overall its very well made game, good job!

Hey, nice game! I took lon to understand that the green fish damaged me and that the bubbles replenished some health. Maybe a visual cue for that would be good.
Overall a well built game! Congratulations.

First of all, you guys are so genius! IntenSEAty is such a good name for this game!!!

Concerning the graphics you did a perfect job, everything fits so well together and the fishes are so cute! Clean and good looking style choice!

Concerning the audio, I love the soundtrack. I could listen to it all day long.

Overall I like this game so much. I had an amazing time playing it. I found it very innovative and creative. It’s flipping addictive as well. Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

I love the graphics, especially the backgrounds. It seems like a strange choice to make the difficulty increase dependent on random interactions with the UI, but the way you presented the credits was very clever!

Awesome! Great choice of music really fit the mood. The graphics are pretty silly, I like it. One thing is, if you kind of sit just below the middle of the screen you don't really ever get hit. Maybe just coincidence though.

My opinion is similar to the others. Awesome graphics, awesome and non-grating audio, only gameplay that doesn't show the theme well and is a little clunky. Perhaps an indicator of the spawn rate increasing would help show the theme.

After some time, I would just clear the bottom half of the screen while the enemies at the top fire ahead.

Having different behavioral patterns on the enemies might make it more interesting, but I understand that there isn't much time to develop multiple enemies.

Well, I guess it can't be said too much, but the game art is great. I felt the gameplay could be improved a little and the sounds were reasonable. Is left-clicking supposed to start the game over?

I guess that idea of Theme implementing was to owerwhelm players with enemies, but it looks just unfair.

Other than that: Atrt style is Great, and Audio well complements gameplay! Great Job :)

overall you guys did well. the animation, art, and music tracks are awesome. on the other hand, there some stuff that is confusing the enemy bullet color is similar to that of the background which makes it hard to see, the game is so easy I reached 30k and I could keep going forever since it does not get harder with time (you could make harder by increasing the number of enemies or make them harder to kill, decrease the number of healing bubbles or make them hard to catch). the music track gets more intense with time I thought that dynamic till it looped :( if you can make it dynamically increase intensity with time as the game gets harder it will add a lot to the game atmosphere. finally the enemy death SFX do not go well with the rest also an enemy hit sound will be nice. P.S: make a note of what player should do, since I thought bubbles is an attack for a while (or make an SFX and VFX that show the increasing of health when it hit you). the game is good but it's not super fun, but it can be ;)

Hey guys, nice entry!
The visuals are great and the sound fits perfectly to the gameplay!
The gameplay itself feels very smooth and has a high replay value.
But sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed of the count of enemy attacks.

Overall awesome work!

Beautiful game with a mechanic that matches the theme. I think it takes a bit of feedback to give you a stronger feeling. Congratulations.

Jogo bonito com uma mecânica que combina com o tema. Acho que falta um pouco de feedback para dar um a sensação mais forte. Parabéns. :flag_br:

Quite beautiful.
Interacting with the UI to spawn different fish is an interesting idea, but I think most players will need some sort of incentive to do that.
But overall it feels pretty polished. Well done.

Nice art, and fun game, but I was a bit confused on the mechanics of the game. Also, the controls feel too slippery to make any precise movements, and enemies would often overwhelm large chunks of the screen. Good game, but has some issues that need to be fixed.

Beautiful game, but it feels a little hollow. Where's the background music from? It's very familiar but i can't pinpoint it. I saw a couple of weird bugs here and there (not sure why but after dying one of the times the game would reset everytime i clicked). The monster log is a great touch, but the game should pause itself when you open the log lol i didn't know how to close it so i clicked everywhere and i spawned a lot of enemies.
