Fluffy's Charge by Pixelbukkake
Team Pixelbukkake
This was our Teams first Ludum Dare and we had a lot of fun, thanks a lot for this great event!
We are very proud of how our game turned out. Unfortunately the scope of the game got slightly out of hand. As a result the endings are a bit bugged since i had to start uploading 2 hours early due to my slow upload speed and still just made it barely in time at the end of the submission hour. I hope that's not too much of deal^^. If you like our game you should check out the post-jam version as well since it fixes the problems regarding the different endings. But of course please judge the game on the jam version!
Anyway, we hope you like our game and we are exited to play all your games as well! Have fun!
Game Description:
The end has come! Fossil resources have been depleted and a devastating war has put the world into nuclear winter. There is just one last power source left: Fluffy the Hamster!
Look out for humanity's last hope by feeding him carrots and allowing him some much needed rest every now and then. Meanwhile you have to distribute the limited energy he can produce between incoming emergency requests.
On top of that you should try to generate and put aside as much money as possible to purchase valuable upgrades for Fluffy. Can you keep humanity alive?

My main piece of feedback is to make the lightswitch a little more obvious.
It took me a little while to find it! I also think the upgrades might be too expensive. I wasn't able to purchase any of them in two plays of the game. I thought the art style was really charming, and fluffy was an electric protagonist!
In terms of gameplay, it gets a little bit boring once you get some of the upgrades. Game should have become harder and you should produce money faster when you're later in the game. Maybe have a money multiplier upgrade.
Art-wise there aren't really any complaints. Would be nice if the disasters would actually be visible through the window, but I'm impressed how much you managed to do in one weekend.
Oh, by the way, Pixel Bukkake is probably the most awesome name for a game company ever made.
Nice game, I liked the gameplay and also the graphic is really awesome.
Basically to make money you just need to connect a TV, uh? XD
Fluffy is loveable.
Just a really adorable game all around! The animations are great fun to look at, and really tie the game together. The little touches, such as the clothing changing, were also a nice touch, I got a chuckle out of the last bait! The music switching when you overfeed fluffy was another good addition, and the regular music really keeps the pace up! The game-play is simple, but works, and kept me interested until I finished.
My only real gripe is the menus. It's kind of awkward to constantly bring down the menu, and switch it between food and upgrades. It wouldn't be so bad, but every time you click away to respond to an emergency, it goes away, which really sucks in tight situations, where I needed to multitask between buying food and switching power.
Overall, a solid entry!
However, having to look at seven gauges plus earning money and buying food is not an easy thing for you to equilibrate. But you made it! Somehow...too much ? After 15-20 minutes playing there wasn't any challenge anymore and I decided to keep the money and let the city explode haha. For example, whatever action you do has positive effect, even when doing nothing, which slows down the pressure.
I also noticed that when an alarm was sounding, it was more efficient to wait for it to stop before clicking on the button, maybe a bug?
But overall an amazing game with good graphics and music!!! (and a good team name too :D)
