A game about using your life for all types of stuff. Invest your life wisely and you may pass the levels, make foolish decisions and you shall perish.
Couldn't reach the level of polish i wished for, but still very happy with the results. You can mute sound in-game with F1 if it gets too annoying. This is my second time participating in Ludum Dare. Also the game crashes when you reach level 17 because it's the last level and I wasn't able to add a winning screen in time. I also misspelled the word defeat but I don't think it warrants a patch.
Thank you for all the kind comments
Post compo minor fixes :
-Changed WebGL presentation resolution because some people were getting their screen cut off.
-Moved enemy behavior from Update() to FixedUpdate() because people with different framerates were getting different enemy speeds.
-Fixed a typo in the tutorial text and added the part that says you can move with AWSD.

Also Orb-id... cute name.
Very cool art and music! Gameplay is pretty fun too. I often kill myself by using all my seeds :D
Very good job mate!
You can improve the tutorial with some gifs in game.
This is REALLY impressive, especially for a compo game. Solid mechanics, good graphics, nice sound design... really good overall.
I have a few suggestions:
When you introduce the first enemy, don't have it spawn right behind the tutorial box. Also it blends into the green background. That's all, really :3 <3
Because I wanted to hop right back in, I hastily clicked the restart game button, not knowing that it would erase all my progress. That's such a shame and I think that such buttons should be placed elsewhere and with a warning since I don't think that most people want to ever wipe their progress. It was a really nice and satisfying game loop until then though!
I also liked the complementary colour scheme and in general you built a cool and interesting atmosphere with this game.
However, I think the 8-bit sound effects took away from that atmosphere quite a bit. It's as if the game audio is actively trying to remind me that I'm just playing a video game. I think 8 bit sounds mostly belong into 8 bit games to serve the aesthetic such games are going for. This game didn't give me 8 bit vibes though so the sounds didn't really work for me. The music was great though, loved that part of the audio!
Compo?! Gratz!
No comments are necessary, except this one:

Lots of upgrades def makes the game last a while and want to get better as you play.
