Akashic is a microcosm or metaphor for human life, and provides an explanation for reincarnation and luck. (may be unclear due to unfinished state of the game) \n\nGod sends out a soul or mind to live out human life through a meta-space which is a reflection of one's memory. The soul bonds to a body and life begins. Each revealed tile represents a memory, and the obscured unrevealed tiles are undecided upcoming events written in your fate. Dying of old age is victory, the end goal of life. God then evaluates how fulfilled the life was and exchanges it for an appropriate sum of opportunities. You are then reincarnated to try again.\n\nThroughout life, we sometime encounter moments by chance that seem highly advantageous to us; these are opportunities. By trading your life for opportunities, you can reduce the burden of your next life by having it easy. Maybe you will be born in a nicer family, or if you happen to be loaded with opportunities maybe you will win the lotto! By this process, luck is explained as a real process, one which we have control over but on a macroscale. If you have recently had lucky events happen to you, it may be thanks to your previous incarnation!\n\n## Gameplay\n\nThe entire game is played with the mouse. The player starts with some base amount in each stat: Emotional, Fiscal, Social, Physical. These stats can go up and down according to events in the player's life. Your life's fulfillment is also shown at the top left.\n\nThe player begins on a single tile, each tile represents an event in the player's life. Obscured tiles may be revealed by moving to the adjacent tile and clicking the blinking indicator. Revealing an obscured tile will open the event card which the player must handle.\n\n## Unfinished!\n\nThis entry is unfortunately unfinished. The writing turned out to be a much bigger undertaking than initially anticipated, so many cards were not fully implemented or lack textual feedback after\n\n*Missing Features:*\n- Opportunities: Special events which are highly advantageous.\n- Situations: prolonged state that the player is in, causes stat or life changes over time. (e.g. being a smoker would gradually have a toll on your physical stat)\n\n*Known Issues:*\n- Missing text descriptions.\n- Incorrect animation of the character when walking. (worked fine in editor...)\n- There is no way to gain life, making the game unwinnable...\n- Screwy layout of text in card window.
