Save the colony.
Controls - LEFT and RIGHT for movement - ENTER for respawn
Notes: - The larva is the hitbox! - It is possible to win - If the game has no graphics, refresh the web page

Tools used: - Godot Engine - phone to take photos - http://goart.fotor.com/ for generating "deep painting" from the photos. Of course it wouldn't be possible without this website! It seems such content generators are allowed, it's very powerful. - GIMP for image editing (bulk of the time) - Orion for making music

Yeah I would have liked to have a game where you pick and drop larvas but not enough time :)
Good stuff :8ball:
Regarding the gameplay, the direction switching mechanic is making it feel a bit weird for me. Because of protecting the larva, I more focus on it while playing than the ant. And a change of walking direction suddenly means teleport. But it is a minor drawback, still overall impressive.
Would be nice to know how much time is left before the hatching of the larva...
Good work anyway! :)
gameply is really tricky, definitley felt like a game. After several playthroughs I finally made it through the first rough spot and then I gave up I gotta admit lol.
Overall a great game for one person and the Idea is really cool that only part of your character can get hit. :)
Thanks all for the feedback!
I have dinner cooking on the stove right now so I'm not going to be able to keep the larva alive for too long. Regardless, the atmosphere is so well done (I actually really like the stilted ant movement, I think it fits better with the painterly vibe) and I died a little inside every single time the game over music played, it is so haunting
