Description

Basic Gameplay

Due to time constraints the gameplay is very limited. You can go get some babys from Manny and plant them in the fields. Wait some time for them to grow into slaves and repeat.

Known Issues & Upcoming Features

We went a little over ambitious for this jam so we have a few missing features and bugs that ended up in the jam build. We wanted to build a whole sandbox experince in the span of a weekend. @Mortifix, even warned us in the beginning that our idea was too ambitious, but one can dream. We plan to continue on this project a little bit more even though the jam is over.

Time Limitation Issues

  1. "Plants" are not stuck to the grid
  2. Movement is a tad slippery
  3. Slave construction mechanics were left out due to time
  4. Item shops were left out due to time
  5. NPC reputation system was left out due to time
  6. The entire "Your life is currency" currency system was left out due to time.
  7. Music was left out due to time.
  8. Sound effects were left out due to time.

Features we are interested in adding

Of course, we plan on hitting everything that is missing, but then we want to go a step further to make the game more enjoyable.

  1. Basic equipment system (You can see the start of this in the inventory)
  2. More NPCs
  3. Larger map
  4. Mechanics to changes tilemaps. Ex. Cut down a tree or till soil
  5. Overworld raiding
  6. Baby variations, such as twin baby.

I admire your ambition, and the game + trailer were definitely funny! If you keep at it after the jam, it could turn into something.

I really liked the design of characters but found it a bit confusign. I couldn't do anything but walk and talk to Death. Missed some kind of music to set the mood of what to expect in the game and sound effects for a deeper first experience. I think it's very raw in the overral experience, and did not understood by the gameplay what to expect of a complete version, but the visual's and the name tell something.

@raphiell Hey thanks. We were really bummed we didn't get through everything in time.

@luigi-rizzon Thanks for giving our game a try. It's obviously missing a lot and we plan to add more. You can actually go over to the farm area and press interact `Enter` to plant and harvest. Very basic system.
