It's funny, while mechanically and aesthetically different than my game, there are definitely parallels going on. It's just fun to grow things...
...Especially cookies.
Nice idea, though it doesn't really seem to get any more difficult? Maybe a bit too easy to survive indefinitely.
So now that my cookie covers most of the screen... when do I get to eat it?
yes the Ludum Dare version was a bit too easy, the fixed one should constantly increase difficulty but for the lategame it might have been better to make it more challenging even faster :)
@oxrock nice :D even higher than my highscore so far :D
Overall, I had fun with the game, great job on finishing ludum dare! You should be proud :)
I plannend on including more but sadly i ran out of time. Yeah the idea with the score was on my bucket list :D to make it more interessting e.q. maybe more challenging quicker :)
Well done, congrats on your first LD!
You did a good job, definitely I love the eating sound.
@kalm004 my idea of the game was that it is an score based game, e.q. to try to collect as many points as possible, but yeah the game could use a bit more of an challenge, i tried to fix it in the edit (e.q. the edit was done after the compo finished so i but it into a seperate section) this one should be more challenging :)
It's a simple premise with some great audio design, and the graphics are quite nice too.
happy cookie/10
Was very easy near the start, but after a minute or so of being almost the size of the screen, when those muncher things started coming down faster and faster, it got a lot more fun,
You should definitely have zoomed out the camera as it got bigger so you can still see what's happening above and below the cookie
I liked the pysics and the sound effects,
but it would be cool if it had an ending or
an objective. after the cookie reaches a certain size,
there is not much left to do.
@jamesy012 yeah i planned on including that (i actually had a first version in the game), but it wasn't working as i wanted to so i scraped it for now, but great suggestion and nice highscore :)
@wizcas great idea with the different ingredients, those could be used to make the game more challenging :)
@all others thanks for the feedback and the great tips i will try to adapt the difficulty and make it more challenging :)
The graphics are pretty good and the sound effects are funny. It controls smoothly and the idea is cool. I just wish there was more of a challenge, since the game effectively 'stopped' because there are not enough munchers spawning.
@zelos thank you for the feedback :) did you try the bugfix version (it is a bit further down) the other one had an bug which caused the game to become really easy, because kicked away munchers still counted as active enemies which resulted in too many enemies in the game which prevented new ones to spawn at some point
I really dont know what else to say. I really like it. Good job!
@anthony-juarez yeah your right a bit more enemy types/different kind of challenges would be fun :) great idea with the special attacks/mini bosses, will consider these things when i release an update for it :)
