cool idea! But the game is probably too hard, or frustrating. It seems like theres no way you could dodge the swatter after taking off, and even if you "predict" it by landing and taking off immediately, the points you get for it are nowhere near the points you get for just sitting and dying.

Nice Idea. Need to work on game mechanics and make the game more playable rather than making too difficult for the player. Controls are also bit clumsy

Cute idea, cute graphics, globally a cute little game. Gameplay is not that interesting, it took me a while to figure that you need to press the space bar to take off. I know it's written but this is kind of counter-intuitive to be stuck to the food and be unable to move up once you are on it.
Good job anyway :)

This is a super unique and cute idea :) I guess the Space input is quite not necessary since pressing up works just fine. The difficulty is a bit high but after you figure it out it is possible to beat some checkpoints :D I totally like the fly art, this is super cute. Great job! Totally worth a post jam version with a bit of music and maybe a tutorial or something like that :)

I agree with torcado. It's a fun idea but the fly should either be a little faster or the swatter a little smaller. My best score was 366 but I only achieved that with sitting down for a second and flying away before the swatter was in sight.
However, I like the SFX and the fact that the game shows both your current score and your best score.

Adorable. Since the handle of the swatter doesn't kill you, seems like the trick is to walk from side to side on the sandwich. This works until you get to the second sandwich, and then *fuhgeddaboudit*. I wish there was some music during gameplay, something "Eye of the Tiger" or overly dramatic to contrast the tininess of the protagonist. :smile: Good job.

Interesting game, I really liked the idea. The audio fits well and the background looks nice. However, it is a bit too difficult to evade the slap even if one has predicted it, due to how the down key snaps onto the food so easily. Then again, I have no doubts that the life of a fly ruining picnics is supposed to be difficult.

The audio was really nice, and I like that the food is different every time. It is a bit punishing, though. Nice entry!

My highest score was 1474 but the game, even on its lowest level, is too unfair. We can't predict where the swatter is gonna come from or how many there's gonna be. Moreover it seemed like the speed of the swatter was greater than our own speed which made avoiding plain impossible at some points. Despite that the idea is pretty cool and I think an improved version could make its way to mobiles :)

Funny but a bit difficult at first, it took me a few attempts to conquer a sandwich without getting swatted. I like the graphics and the concept. It would be cool if the up arrow also allows the player to take off in addition to flying up.
