Oh man, You really got me with that title screen, I'm a huge fan of old Warcrafts :). Game is pretty hilarious, I survived 40 days.

I really like it, its very funny and really well made. I am not too sure what the target icon on the right means but maybe because I only played the game for a few minutes. Good work!

@exewin : Ahah thanks, I grew up with Warcraft and Doom, had a blast making this one !

@static-ddq : DAT ICON ! I play-tested it on a friend, he said the same thing about the previous icon. I thought a pentagon with a skull would symbolize demonic influence pretty well :yum:

Interesting gameplay, but strange sounds, "ooooh, aahh, omnomnom" at the one time. Maybe make it little bit less.

Aw man!
Very cool game, very funny, and somehow quite difficult at first!
Well done!

@slizzben : Yeah I should have made the game chose just one noise per event, but that's part of the "clue" about what happened with the event you just clicked :yum:

@andrea : Hey thanks ! I'll be happy if this brings 10 cumulated minutes of joy to people on this planet

I survived 67 days before, as I thought they might, my slaves took over my clan.

Really nice! It's fun to test answers out when you don't know the result yet, it's another kind of fun to try and minmax everything once you know more. Some things I still don't understand but I really enjoyed it overall.

Also, bonus points for the mouthed sfx!

Interesting game! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/qbVCRHP5Rcg

I managed to live less than 5 days, that how bad I am at this game lol ... wish the intro music continued in the game, it was pretty nice

@eclahn The mouthed sfx is always my favorite part of doing a game for ludum dare : 15-30 minutes of pure siliness to blow off steam

@jupiter-hadley Ohh yehahhh, I'm on teeeveeee ! Sorry the game was so repetitive (bad luck really, you missed much of the events)

@velvetlobster 5 days is pretty impressive, even when clicking randomly it's usually pretty difficult to do less than 20-40 days. Good job sir ! As for the music... well... I'm not proficient enough with this engine yet, and the sounds and the music clashed together. So I ended up removing the music from the game, to leave only the sounds. Maybe I should have removed the sounds and kept the music ?

There's always that heart-wrenching moment when you reach the selection that kills you either way, and you know you're gonna die, and you change back to the Ludum Dare tab to start writing the feedback, but you can't run away aaaand- there ends my 94 days run. Ahhh, so close to 100, yet so far.

It's super fun, there's a noticeable learning effect when playing multiple times and I greatly enjoyed slowly memorizing what each selection does. The game over effects had some cool visual effects going on. Of course, the very best were the orcs themselves. You really managed to make me feel like the leader of a pack of orcs and it felt amazing. Great game!

When I restart there is no sound effect. And music is lacking 🤔.
The questions were fun but they will be repeated and the consquences are always the same, maybe some randomness to the amount of food you get when hunting, etc. Will make it more unpredictable.

This game is simple and nice to play, I like the orcs story 😀

@arvejeitor : Grew up on Warcraft, Diablo and Doom, that may explain some stuff

@jotson : Ahah thanks, happy that the sounds played as intended

@arkiruthis : Thanks ! I like to focus on a different aspect of game making in every LD. Trying out a new engine meant that I needed to focus on something else than coding. Plus I haven't made any pixelart for a long time. (Hmmmmm, I may play your game again tonight... need to beat it !)

@captaindreamcast & @nekonyo : I plan on releasing an update a better event system (bye bye the strange lag on game load-up) and wayyyyy more events (and graphics for events, which were initially planned but would have taken too much time). I'll ping you both ;)

also @nekonyo : What's your OS + web browser ? Debbuging sound problems is always a nightmare

I have played it on windows 10 64 bits pro and in chrome 70.0.3538.110. The bug is that sound effects work until for a while until it fails. Even so the game is playable at least, only the sound effects stop working at a specific moment. Good luck on debugging 👍

A funny little game you made. The Textadventures is good to understand and it has for my opinion a deep story inside. Good Work!

I survived for 30 days, but I really wasn't sure what lead to the slave revolt. I took very few actions against slaves and only ones I was forced to do (or when the only option was slaves or "lies..."). I felt there was information that wasn't being given do me. Basically, I would have liked more feedback about my actions. Even still, this was a great game. The audio was great, although the feast audio clip sounded a bit... lewd. I enjoyed the writing as well.

A side note, make sure you like good comments on your game! It helps the commenter's games be more visible for voting!

So many games focus on the battle elements of Orcs, as opposed to the procedural administration concerns. But there are so many things to worry about as an Orc leader! I never realized it before.

I think it was 52 days that I did on my best run, but it felt like I had a run of good luck, with several BABIES and bards, then even a village.

If I could add one thing it would be for the change in the numbers from a choice to somehow pop out or linger on the screen for a second. I couldn't always remember what my old numbers were, and thus what the effect of the new choice was. Even an up/down green/red under the impacted numbers might be cool.

I enjoyed experimenting around with the systems, and hearing the funny sound effects. Nice work!

@pkenney and @incobalt : I will definitly consider this for the post-jam version. I was just not proficient enough with this engine to do that kind of stuff in time

Cool game! Took me a while to learn the events and their effects, it was pretty satisfying when I got better. My best was eventually 96 days.

Wasn't very clear what does what, also I had no sound (a bug or is there none?). The guessing game was fun, many different ways to die enlighten the point in micromanaging those numbers. Once you actually get the game then it's pretty fun :)
