The equipment system was a bit hard to work out: it's not immediately obvious that when you buy something it's equipped to the relevant character.
Still, fun!
The orcs kills me so hard!!! Thank for the game!
Unfortunately, when I tried to go to the final battle, the game screen changed, but the battle didn't load. I can't tell if the game is incomplete or if it's a bug.
Of course there's only so much that can be done in a weekend, but the art for the battlefield (especially the hexes and cards) didn't mesh with the game at all.
In terms of balance, it seemed that loading the entire party up with copies of Magic for Dummies was far and away the best way to deal damage. Melee weapons just seemed weak, and healing unusably weak.
All in all, thought, an impressive amount of work for a compo game.

As everyone has said, it's a good game with a lot done. The intro selections and story are nice for a compo game. The combat system was enjoyable.
Also as others have said, the style didn't fit together very well, but that's "just" polish. Bug with "Heal" on others, it always heals yourself. It did seem like there were some balance issues, but again "polish".
Overall, nicely done, excellent that you have a plot, and some good gameplay.
There's some repetition but this is a fantastic game for a LD!
I'd add some music, otherwise perfect :)
I died against the orcs :-/
The game is very enjoyable. I was pleseantly suprised by the amount of stuff you managed to do. Sadly, i had the same bug as Talon (black screen when starting the final battle).
Really nice work for 48 hours.
