Hi and thank you so much for checking out our game Pollux! :)

This is basically about a little planet who got lost, trying to fight his way through the universe, collecting stardust and stocking up his ecosystem on the way. It was alot of fun to do it, I just REALLY wish we had one more day to add a bunch of levels after every graphic and programming stuff was done, because it's super short now. :D!

Ah well, we hope you guys like it and would appreciate your input :)

obviously it has a bunch of time induced flaws, but we would like to know what you guys think about our ideas and the little bit of level we left you with :D (a small world, right? ;))

Maybe you can make an achievement out of it, for example make the coolest Pollux' hairstyles and/or collect the most amount of stardust :D

Cheers and thanks!!!

For best performance, we recommend using the Windows Build. The other builds aren't tested and the web player view is horrible (what an understatement)

Cool concept! I like it a lot, and it made me want to keep trying to unlock other stuff. Only thing I'd say is the controls feel a bit off, but I'm sure with some tweaking that might be fixed. Anyways, good work! Congrats on completing it, too. :)

thank you guys so much! So much appreciation..! ^_^
so cool you tried it out! you could also try giving him the goofiest "hairstyle", haha :D
..of course it's easier when you're still in unity and can organize yourself infinite stardust ;P
Thanks again! :)

Liked your game. I agree that the controls may be improved but it's enjoyable as it is. Rated <3

That was super cool! I like the build-up mechanic. You can create a pretty awesome planet that way. :D
Graphics and sound were both great too. I just needed to remember to put the first volcano in a better spot. Still made it through even with the sub-optimal setup!

A fun, silly game. I liked it, but the movement is a bit weird. However, I think the game made up for that and with more time, you can make this really great!

Pros:
- Good art
- Fun concept
- Fun levels

Cons:
- Weird controls

Great game, such a shame that there is just one level. I would have enjoyed playing more! The graphics are great too. Good job.

Thank you guys so so much!! :)
I totally agree to your negative feedback and humbly thank you for the compliments :)
I know right?! I was so disappointed that our time was running out in the end, but I insisted on making the building mode super awesome haha :D
although there are a couple of ideas missing, 2 being population and a derpy drone-ish moon sidekick, that makes goofy comments and has a random chance of shooting you xD
ah well. thanks again guys! we will definitely try your games :) <3

I definitely loved the concept of your game.

Upgrading a planet with natural conditions and dependencies between them is a good idea but you took it even further by adding a shooter dimension to the game which I found really interesting.

I'd love to see a post-Jam version with more levels and upgrades !

Hi! I enjoyed playing your game, music is very cool. I love the graphics too, but controls are not what I love the most in the game. Except that thing and the fact that there is only a single level. I passed a really fun experience playing your game!

This was great, but left me wanting more, would have liked it longer and more uses for upgrades, I just about had time to build 2 volcanoes and a lake and then it was all over. The idea of upgrading your planet as game progresses is very fun and overall was a sweet play.

Too bad, I was looking forward to using that build menu more. Nice spirit and graphics.

cool game!
I admit the control are weird at first, but we can get used to it. Love the art style and the planet faces!

Adorable little planet. I like the gameplay but I have a few gripes about the controls. esc is an odd button choice for the upgrade menu. Using the mouse to control the rotation of the planet was awkward since it was dependent on its location to the planet and I couldn't see my cursor. I would have preferred two buttons to control the rotation I think. I like the levels and the graphics really nice entry :)

Haha, fun! I played twice, trying to get more stuff built the second time around. Shame you guys couldn't get more actual content in, but such is Ludum Dare!

One gripe that I'd like to point out: I know this is 2017 but there are some of us from the stone ages who do not use monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio! Some of the UI elements get cut off on my 5:4 screen.

Cool game! The graphics and audio are great, though as others have already said the controls need a bit more work. Overall, very well done.

The game has a real potential ! You should use a controller for it (left stick to move, right to rotate maybe ?).

I played it twice (the ending is a bit steep). I'd love to see it complete  !

Very cool game! I was surprised there wasn't more of it from the sheer amount of weapons you'd taken the trouble to add. Music is very catchy, Graphics were good, controls were tight but could use with a bit of improvement from how tight some of those gaps are, but nothing game breaking. Overall it was extremely fun.

The game seemed a little short, and I didn't get a chance to use the rest of the power-ups. Aiming felt a little awkward and it was hard to get the planet to rotate in the right way to shoot. The cartoon graphics looked nice. I would have the build menu on a different key than escape, because it took me out of full screen with the web build.

Thanks for your constructive reviews guys and that you took the time to play our game :)
glad you liked it!
yeah.. i know right xD we totally lost focus (*cough* or I did *cough*) and wanted this editor to be nice and all and have a couple of functions to justify having it in the first place :D I was really really sad we didn't have more time to realize every level mechanics we had imagined :(

a tip to get the most out of building mode:
start with a vulcano early on (you start with 25 stardust already) then shoot every obstacle in the beginning. as soon as you reach 30, add a lamp for stardust multiplication. for the rest if the stardust, just fix yourself. bug-related, you will end up with full hp and more stardust than before x) also, stardust over time.

thank you all again!! :) <3
