Just ran down the streets, never stopping moving or spraying and praying. The explosion effects add a nice over-the-top absurd feel to it, which I like. The tilt-head movement was less nauseating than I would've guessed, but it was also kind of limiting, since you couldn't really strafe. But it's a good trick, and definitely worked for the playstyle I ended up playing the game with.
