What would you if you were a cat? Become a photo model of course!

Who doesn't love the cute cat photos?

This game is about a small world of a cat who thinks big. He wants to conquer the world of the social media by his purrfect cute photos.

But he is a picky guy. His mood is up to you but not all the moods will suit all the poses. Be careful to not fail the photo and lose your subscribers.

So, tell me, kitty, can you get all the achievements?

Updates:

  • 27.04.2017: Game's got paused and you see the hint window when you first time in the shooting stage (or still have 0 followers).
  • 04.05.2017: Minor interface rework - nothing added, progress bars, moved on the sides of the screen.

Game's guide:

  • Pick two different moodlets by using the items in the room.
  • When in the photo stage check out the mood status (the red, green or purple text near the moodlets)
    • If it's green, your moodlets fit the pose - strike the pose by pressing Q-Q-Q-...-Q-W
    • If the text is red, Struggle by pressing the random keys sequence shown on the top-right part of the screen
    • Purple text - on your own choice
  • Experiment with the room moodlets to pick those that work together

This game is cuteness heaven :grin:
I'm a big cat fan and this cute fluffy ball is just adorable :smile:
The gameplay is something different which I like, with funny QTEs.
Nice soundtrack btw.

This is a very cute game. I love the animations of the cat, especially the walking. The art style is adorable and the music is fitting. Catstagram made me laugh:joy:

I don't get it. All I can do is select a random combo of two actions and hope that it creates the "right mood" for the shot that, which for some reason I cannot even choose?

The graphics and audio are top-notch, marvelous stuff, but the interactivity is so random and pointless.

Maybe that is the point, maybe this is an accurate portrayal of a day in the shoes of a social media personality. In that case I'm glad I'm not one of them folk.

Thanks for the reality check at least.

@huvaakoodia, hi, thank you for your comment, the pose is indeed random, but if it doesn't fit your mood, you can reject it by following the Struggle key sequence. What you can do is to figure out the right combinations of the moodlets for the poses and hope to get the right one. Some moodlets don't work with each other. So, example of the gameflow: I pick the lazy mood by choosing the bed and the food, get the wrong pose - reject it, try same mood again, get the right pose. Then, because of the probability of the another pose being shown, choose the playful mood and try to get the right pose etc. You can be the "always lazy" cat that makes only lazy poses or try to find three different perfect moods and try to get the right pose for each of them.

Love the art style, very cuddly and cute! Achievements and Followers are a great mechanic and I like how the number of followers grows even if I take crappy photos.

I guess my only question is: Does the mood correlate with anything that I did before the photo shoot? is it random?

@arcticmattekar, thanks for the feedback! Yes, by doing stuff in the room you gain moodlets (2 max) that make up your mood. Lazy actions suit lazy pose etc.

Oh my god, this game is absolutely adorable! For some reason, I'm not able to interact with anything though! (Windows x86_64, 1920x1080). The meter shows up for just a moment before flickering out. I've tried holding, mashing, nothing works :(

I'm going to come back to this later, because I seriously want to play your game! :)

It's adooooooorable ! The game is a bit confusing, or maybe I expected something else when I started, but the cuteness of the animation and the attention for details make the game really enjoyable !
This is the kind of game that deserve a full version.

I love the cuteness and the graphics and the sounds of this :D but the controls left me confused....how to see what mood you would need before the shoot? I just felt like randomly activating those tiny "buffs" and even when I had the right mood and kept the bar on full green, it made a photo at a crappy time :o --ohhhhhh I didn't see that the button was changing to press W at the right time :D and you get followers for struggling against bad pose aswell hehehehe.....I definitely enjoyed this game :D

This is a cute game and actually very humorous. The visual style is excellent. In the music I think there is some clipping or some kind of harsh sound that grates on my ears. But other than that I found it enjoyable :)

This is soo cute! Love the bouncy kitty, the environment and layout. The idea is nicely executed. Took me a while to undertand how to shoot after getting in the right mood. Very nice game!

I had some problems with understanding of game mechanics - it is not very clear for me even after illustrated tutorial from this post.
But I enjoyed cute and stylish graphics, and game concept is nice and clever.

The art of the game is great and the gameplay itself seems to work fine. But I felt a little lost, a little tutorial would've been nice. A short text tutorial on the game page would suffice, if there was no time during the jam.

What a strange game :D I can honestly say that I haven't seen a game like this, EVER. :D Controls were odd, and a tutorial might've helped figure out the game a bit better, but nice work in any case, this is original!

Nice work on the graphics and the audio, too.

Loading the game was odd, there was no indication that it was loading. I don't know enough about unity, but it seemed like it had crashed, so I reloaded a few times, because I didn't know that it was downloading all the time. A loading screen would've been nice there, if it's possible to have one :)

This is an interesting game. I definitely love the unique idea. The graphics are very cute and well done, the sound track is fitting, and the whole thing is pretty funny and entertaining. It would be nice if there was a little more variety to the gameplay itself. As far as I played (and maybe I didn't play for long enough?) it started to feel a tad repetitive. Of course, there's only so much you can do in such a limited time. That said, it's very well done and I think it's an excellent game. Good work, keep it up!
