Tactical battle game (I played a lot of Fire emblem in the last weeks) with a simple survival mode (1 Player) and a versus mode (2 Players).

First time doing some real game assets for my compo. I happy with the results.

Mouse only, if you have problems figuring out the game try the How To Play section on the main menu.

No sound effects and the music is made using Wolfram Tones (Next time I'm going to try doing some music too)

Very impressive compo entry! It's basically a full game, nicely designed (even if it is not that innovative) and fun to play for a while. After a couple of minutes I would have liked to be able to turn off the music. It could be improved with sound effects, different levels instead of the endless mode and of course more units for the player and the enemy. Given that this is made from scratch in a short time I had a lot of fun with it.

Played for quite a while, enjoyed it, a little slow going, and would have liked a goal apart from just survival, but a nice stripped down tactics/strategy game. Also often i wanted to attack, don't move, but then realise they are out of range, but cannot change my mind and move first before attack. Graphics were minimalist but did the job and I appreciated having the background music, quite liked it, eventually the loop stops playing on its own.

Thanks for the feedback everybody, I spend way to much time coding the base game and I was left without time to add more content and polish it.
@mwcz There is a how to play button on the menu with a lot of info about the game.
@automatonvx You can click on the same tile to change that unit into attack mode without moving.

Impresive game with a real tactic gameplay! I don't have anything to add that it is not already said above! Well done!

Cool little game, but the UI is quite lacking. Having to click on a unit twice to get it into action mode limited my decision-making a lot. I also accidentally did this and lost my movement that way. However, the concept has potential.

The art is pretty basic and I am not a fan of the green/grey/orange colour scheme, but it's clear what things are and functional art is more important in a jam. Sound effects would have helped a lot in telling the player what is happening, which is part of the UI issues I mentioned.

GIve it some post-compo love and you'll have a fun little game!

So the game was fun in itself, and it had a really cool "tactical" gimmick to it.

Sometimes however, the UI would be buggy, etc.

The simple art style was interesting, and seemed to fit the overall aesthetic of the game. I could see you weren't able to make music or sound effects, and the lack of sound effects really impacted the gaming experience.

It was really evidence that Fire Emblem was your inspiration, and you pulled off the gameplay mechanic of turns really well in my opinion. Though, sometimes I was finding it hard to tell what was happening.

With some more polish I'm sure a complete game could be made.

I was only able to try the survival mode - and I like it! There's a surprising amount of room to play around with different strategies, even if it seems very simple at first glance.

A bit more feedback about what's going on could help - for example, it wasn't apparent to me what the red outline was the combat range, at first, although it made perfect sense once I thought about it.

I really enjoyed this game! A fun small tactical game, a little slow going, but that is okay for a tactical game. The UI needed the most work. This was very fun to play, I can see myself playing a full version of this. Great work!

There's a really cool, small concept which could have used some more UI polish lurking here. Surprisingly deep for how simple the game is, I didn't complete a playthough (if there is an ending) but I enjoyed the minutes I spent with it. Sometimes I found myself accidentally clicking to complete movement before I intended, which was slightly annoying.

I had some difficulty figuring out the relationship between number of houses and number of people generated - it didn't seem one-to-one, which was non-intuitive.

Fun little strategy game. It took me a little while to figure out what the icons meant and how to attack the enemy units.

I imagine this would be pretty fun with 2 players. I wasn't clear in the 1-player version what I was supposed to do, exactly. Monsters appeared and I killed them. :-) Eventually I stopped playing. Seems like it's got good core nuggets, though.

I had to click around a bit until I got the units to do something along the lines of what I wanted but when I did it became quite fun! The UI could have been a bit more developed but a solid, playable and fun compo entry. Good job! :>

Neat little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
