THIS GAME WAS MADE IN 12 HOURS! NOTICE: There is a UI scaling bug which causes buttons to be smaller on bigger screens! There is also a bug with the top down came, b/c the third person camera uses camera direction to orient itself and the top down cam is not always facing the right direction, please stick with the follow cam, sorry! THERE ARE OBJECTIVES: Go down to the shore and you'll see! :) Limits, is a game that combines exploration with limits. Say exploring a box. That you can't get out of. Incompatible. Very. It follows a character who forgets who they are and must explore to remind themselves of what they look like and who they are! It has had a lot cut, but I hope you enjoy. It also includes some puzzles! Have fun! Things that I did not make: Brick texture Tile texture 1 of the various sand textures used. ALL OF THE UNITY GAME ENGINE SCRIPTS and a lot of standard assets such as water and characters.Screen Shot 2018-04-21 at 9.54.12 AM.png This is an old photo! @Lucky89 There are objectives! Go down by the shore and you'll see :) I guess I should have made that a bit more more obvious, but I felt I made the fake wall a lot obvious and my grammar is really bad for some reason but yeah. Thanks for playing!

FOV is just bad. Camera is too zoomed in and should be raised more towards the sky.

Nice game! I totally get what you mean about cutting out some content. In my game I had to do the same.

@ludum1118 I know! I wish I could, but you'll notice that with the top down cam it's buggy, b/c the third person character uses camera direction to orient itself which of course caues problems and I did not have time to fix them and the fov! Sorry!

@kippllo AHHHH the cringe, Unity does not scale UI elements to bigger screens for some reason, which is why that panel is small and the buttons are too. They fill the entire screen on 720. Ahh well. I hope Unity fixes this soon!

The concept is pretty cool, but I fell off the edge of the world the first time I played. A bit more hinting would be ideal. I like the music a lot.

I like the idea of a game built around limits, but the graphics could be improved in the way they're used to compliment each other, and falling off the world is too easy. In addition, what you're supposed to do isn't clear.

The game has a small mystical aura. I really liked the background music. The only thing that I did not like much, is the angle of the camera, since it has made me a little dizzy ... Otherwise, it is a complete game to be done in 12 hours :)

@miroky Yeah, the camera angle wasn't great, it caused bugs if it was not in a certain position so to save time I had to have it in a bad position. :(

@MegRabbit How did you fall off the edge? Like going outside the map? I thought I made the hills tall enough for that. I also (mistakenly) thought that putting hills on that side would make you go to the shore! I also had a lot of the story that explains why its a beach and what you have to do that got cut do to time! Thanks for the compliment on music!

Well, for 12 hours, it's a good start. I thought the premise and the lines were funny.
On the low-end PC setting the graphics loaded in a strange way that made it a little hard to look at. There also weren't that many objectives and I got to the end in a minute or two. I'd like to see what this would have looked like if it you had been able to put more time into it.

@Samusoidal Thanks! I wanted the game to run on even REALLY bad computers, so I made the low setting **really** low! Also, yeah I know I wish I could have put more objectives in it!On your comment with the lines, did you think that was a bad thing or it was good? Thanks for your feedback!

It has graphics! And audio! And narrative flow! The pacing could have been a bit better (maybe I did a speed run?). But all in all, nice job for you LD entry! Looking forward to seeing what you get done next time!

I got out the starting area and found the end on the shore in about a minute? not entirely sure...

Regarding the UI scaling "bug", it really depends on what settings you give the Unity canvas you may need to set the scaling mode to grow or shrink to get it to work.
