Drug It: There And Back Again by Dlaha

The game
Weird experimental combination of visual novel and card game. Drug It is comedy game in first place. The goal is not to win, but to have a good laugh.
Your goal is to experience pretty hard party night and face the consequences the next day morning.
Each playthrough is unique as the card deck is generated randomly.
Pardon our English. We are not native speakers and there was simply no time for corrector :-)
The development
We wanted to make something of an unusual genre. The idea became solid relatively early. However, it took us longer than we expected to finish all game mechanics. Despite that, we managed to create 11 unique game cards (and design 8 more, which didn’t make it to the game).
Sadly there is no music and almost no audio effect. We had bigger plans but didn’t make it all.
Controls
Mouse and SPACE button will suffice.

The game mechanic is simple but provides some variation and randomness so it is a game I imagine you can just flit on for a bit when you want some amusement. If I had a criticism I would say some of the spelling is off on some of the text, though I think at times this was intentional given the players state. Overall a really enjoyable little game with some amusing scenarios and outcomes from your drunken / high / trippy decisions
It superficially seems like a Nancy Reagan 'just say no' moral is being presented, when the real message of the game is that it's better to hurt people and animals than to be bored. This is truly hilarious, though I wonder whether it's intentional or not.
Regarding game message. I think there is no message. Our goal was to encourage the player in taking drugs because that's where the fun is (in the game) :) That's why we didn't focus on "no drugs" playthrough too much.
Right now we are flirting with an idea of making this into a real game. There are some concepts on the table how to give the player more control over the situation so he can plan his actions to better fulfill some goal. But we already have a bigger project running now, so we will see.
