I didn't quite feel like I was making a choice that led to loosing part of my life, but overall the theme of moving through a life/time was well implemented.
I would have liked more options in the 4th stage, but I like the metaphor of the emptiness I did find.
I played the HTML version on Itch.io and the music was quite loud. If you decide to add more options in the future I would recommend you add a volume control.
Thanks for sharing your game.
I didn't feel much of that from the gameplay itself though. Just running to the right is a bit repetitive for me to want to go through and find all the different possible endings (maybe if they made me run faster). Also, is there anything I can do with the jump ability?
Great entry - thanks for submitting it!
I love the style as well, with the mix of 2d and 3d.
Although good, the music got a bit repetitive over time.
Are any events random, or is it all scripted? I died with "a rebel attitude, travel memories, my partner, my kid, freedom, and inner peace" and it says that I could have done better, but honestly that sounds pretty great to me. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Great job!
Easily 5 Stars.
Amazing experience with so much going on, like the changing colour schemes and backgrounds. The art style was great and some elements being in the foreground were really cool, but when the purchase menus were also blurry and in the foreground, it made them a little difficult to see. Also made me wonder if it was making some kind of implication about which choice to make. Overall love it!
Completed 2 playthroughs, but some things were really inevitable I suppose, like moving to the big city and losing your friends. Could have used more branching there, but then again it's just a jam game so that doesn't matter much. It's the little touches of polish that you've put in there that make a simple concept so great to play.
This is one of my favorite entries this LD.
I'm really curious ๐
Anyway, I will replay this one later ๐
Congrats, it's a great experience.
Uniquely done!~
The general idea is pretty cool, but this game did not resonate with me very well. "You got good grades, you'll never have fun"... eeeh?
Lovely artwork, audio suited perfectly and overall just a really enjoyable experience. Nice work!
