I like the art, which is what made me click on the game. However, the gameplay is less than compelling, with only 2 enemy types from what I've seen. Maybe if the method of attack was more dynamic, it would be more interesting. And it doesn't fit the theme well in my opinion. With only the backstory written in text and the death message having any relevance. There isn't any sacrifice within the gameplay itself. But, like I said, I do really like the art style. The colors are nice :)

Nice artstyle, but the theme is rather weak

This is really fun, though a little hard overall. I really like the graphics and the fight mechanic is pretty interesting and helpful. Good game!

Nice graphic tips for the edge of the map, to blend the trees together in 1 color

Despite being loose on the theme, very funny with cute graphics. The controls worked very well.

I really like the art style, especially the trees and rocks. I would really like to play a full game with this style.

I found the game a little annoying, since it was hard to tell whether or not I was properly hitting the enemies. Some kind of indication would be great. In addition, the combat feels like I'm constantly trying to move away from what I'm attacking, since successful attacks don't push the enemy back at all.

Good one for a compo! A bit on the low side for the theme maybe.

Nice, I like the art style. The gameplay and controls are nice as well. The ent enemies were kind of awkward, because there is no feedback when they are hit or not.

Also, I saw that you added extra gameplay after the jam, which isn't really kosher and against the rules of LD. I'd suggest uploading the old version you people can judge your game fairly

I don't want to be *that* guy but on the game's page you mentioned you added an enemy today. You can keep working on the game after the jam/compo, but you should at least have a compo version (without that new enemy) available to play as well so people can judge the game on that version.

In [the rules](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules) it says: "You **can’t** add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline."
^ that applies to both the jam and the compo.

Amazing! Really, I'm impressed, this game is sooo addictive. The game play is really simple but thats exactly why you can just sit down and play. Sometimes these fast enemies can spawn really close to the player and thats pretty much insta kill, maybe make safe radius around the player so that you have time to react :D But anyway, really good game! Keep up the good work
